You can use a rope shortening knots or clamps to change the angle of the seat.Keep in mind, however, that this seat is not designed for infants or toddlers that require more head and neck support. Answer:	We bought two of these over the summer and they have both seen extensive use in an outdoor toddler pool and upstairs bathtub. I can say confidently that they float very well and drain out amazingly well. Plus, they can be popped open when needed to give the inside a good cleaning. Our 18 month old boy has also identified some other great uses for the subs. He uses one outdoor to water plants which -- because it has a handle - is actually quite feasible and practical. Also, because of the handle, this makes a really good sand toy. He can push and maneuver it around and likes to do that. Personally, I am happy to use it as a piece of "art" since it is so well constructed and has that 'quality' feel that is so elusive to find but which you know when you hold an item. Last comment: This is not a flimsy plastic toy. It is built rugged and meant to last. It survives being tossed out of the tub and pool onto tile and concrete surfaces. it has handled a number of flights down two flights of stairs. To be quite frank, after all of that and nearly 6 months of regular use by our son, our friends kids and our older children, the sub looks quite like it just came off the shelf.
