Answer:	The net and bugs all float and there is no squirting with the bugs, they are air tight. I gotta say my grandson still loves these, and hasn't tired of them yet. I bought them for his Easter basket.

Answer:	There is a hole at the base of the handle. Not an issue though. I just stand it up right to drain. I wouldn't try to seal up the hole, the toy is probably hollow and that hole allows water to drain. My child loves the bugs. Great to little hands to hold.
