Answer:	Normally strings are classified as light, normal and hard tensions. Hard tensions are thicker in diameter and when tuned are tighter therefore harder to press. Also Hard tension do sound louder.

Answer:	Non-ball end means they are classical type strings that you wrap at the end on the bridge to string. Most steel string and electric guitars have a slot for a ball (or in the case of Fender, "bullets" ) on the bridge that the string is set in to hold in place. Most classical guitars do not have bridges like this, they have bridges set up to tie the strings on. Answer:	I have a couple (classical and regular) made in Taiwan and Indonesia. Quality is pretty good. The Made in Japan are high end with matching prices. Can't go wrong with Yamaha. I also have US Strat, Gibson, and Cordoba (Korea).
