Answer:	My grand son is 4. He does just fine with it. Your 2 year old needs to be able to manage a remote control. My grandson uses it in the pool mainly, perhaps on land your child could manage it. The price is right, I say give it a try.

Answer:	We bought these for a pool party at our house. So the range of the controller to reach the vehicle wasn't an issue, but the pool area is only 20x50 ft.The battery life also was fine for our purpose, basically one afternoon of steady usage. Haven't broken them out since.
