Answer:	The X4 series is pretty tough, but it may be a bit of a challenge for a typical 5-year-old, so you will probably want to train him with a free quadcopter simulator app that runs on Android or iPhone/iPad called "QuadcopterFX". The Hubsan X4 is less of a toy and more of a serious hobby quad, bearing all of the hazards of larger units, just on a smaller scale. For example, this quad, in stock trim, can fly faster than 35 MPH, which is fast enough to break windows even as light as it is. The motors are very small, but very powerful, and the propellers are razor sharp, so it is important to instruct him on safety, and attaching the blade guard is highly recommended. Answer:	The Hubsan X4 is one of the best drones a person could learn on. It is incredibly stable and easy to fly - it bounces of walls easily, pretty much everything but metal poles. I have given 5 other people this drone to learn and play with. If this package comes with a transmitter, it is an amazing deal. I bought a similar model for a friend at around $130.00. I'm told around 100ft. for cut off. I wouldn't expect to lift to much with this drone. It really can fly around 35 mph. You can look on youtube for "Hubsan X4 reviews" and "car".. you will see people flying while driving along the road.
