Question:	The whole fun experience with mahjong is the tactile experience; I love shooting my discard tiles out into the pit and whole gathering and stacking the tiles is the other half of the enjoyment--so how is the four rows stacking done with cards
Answer:	The elasticity in the cuffs and waistband have plenty of give. You can scrunch the sleeves up if needed (depending on how big your forearms are.) However, I do feel like the waistband gives a little more than needed with the stretch, but I also don’t like when sweatshirts are tight. Other than that it really is a comfortable and durable sweatshirt. I work at a Veterinary Hospital so it has a little more wear than normal. It’s been a year since I purchased and it still looks and feels like new. I’d recommend and purchase again. 🙂

Answer:	We use it mostly for when we travel, and not for actual "game" play, although you could. I considered making a tilt rack, like the ones you use with tiles. Just cut a slot/kerf in a piece of board, and set the ends in it. they should stand up, and if you overlap the cards, as you would do with regular cards, the length wouldn't be too bad. I would cut the slot about a half inch deep and at a slight angle, so they lean forward a bit to help see them. A 1 x 2 board about a foot or so should hold a 13 card hand, so maybe 14 inches long for a 16 card hand.
Question:	How many cards are included? What is the size of each card
Answer:	This would be what I see as the simplest method of playing mahjong with cards instead of tiles. Do note this process is not the same as for tiles.While cards could be sorted into walls, I wouldn't recommended this fashion, as they could take up too much table space. (That, and players might have to get dice from another source for determining where to break.)To my knowledge, there is no arbitrary way of playing with cards, so players should make an agreement how to set them for play. Feel free to use the procedure I mention below.Shuffle all the cards (and cut if desired). If a dead-wall partition is considered, take the top 14-16 cards and place this section of cards on the bottom, crosswise from the deck. Consider this smaller set of cards as "stone-dead." Next, from the top of the remaining "living" cards, distribute them as in tiled mahjong: starting with East's first 4 cards, and so on. All quad and bonus replacements are instead taken from the top of the "living" cards.I hope this will help you enjoy playing with cards. I haven't yet played mahjong with cards, but this would be the procedure I'd use.

Answer:	152 cards, playing card size. Difficult to shuffle so also ordered a card shuffler, wonderful! Am happy I ordered both. Easier to carry cards then tiles at times.

Answer:	There are no instructions. This mahjong card set is for the chinese version NOT the american version of mahjong. There is a BIG diference. All of these mahjong sets be it cards or tiles do not come with instructions. If you want to learn how to play, you heed to know, which version you want to learn. Within the chinese version there are many different ways to play it also. I am not very familiar with the american version but it requires you to have the annual mahjong winning combination and rule card. You can surf the net for ihstructions for either versions. But this set is for playing the chinese version of mahjong as it has 144 cards.

Answer:	Both sets are included. There are 178 cards in the deck. Standard American play uses 152 cards, so there are many extra cards. There are two sets of dragons, two sets of winds, two sets of jokers, and some extra blank cards. This set is great for travel when you don't want to lug around the full size heavy box. One suggestion... if the people playing have arthritis in their hands, you might want to consider buying card holders like the Ableware 15" Playing Card Holder (set/4). Answer:	No the mat does not smell (unless you spill and do't clean). I will be honest, after having used the mat for a couple years - my fellow mahjongg players prefer the custom screen mats. They comment that their "nails" snag on the carpet.

Answer:	Play is East-South-West-North going to the right around the table - not the compass settings we are used to seeing ! It's mahjong not directional. It's a puzzle.
