Answer:	You could buy 2 separate theme decks. These are pretty cheap at $12.50/per deck so not sure you'll get a better value. These decks are actually pretty well constructed out of the box. The resistance and weakness factors don't really come into play with these two decks when calculating damage. These elements of the game are another layer of complication when calculating damage. I looked at several two deck starter packs on Amazon and this set had high reviews. If your kids enjoy the game, they'll probably start buying more theme decks to mix and match games so it really doesn't matter which two you buy first. Two is never going to be enough.

Answer:	All the cards are tournament legal (unlike world championship deck cards that have a different card back and can'take be used in any official tournaments) but many in these decks are not standard legal, only expanded legal. Some standard legal cards include 2x VS Seeker, 2x Karen, and 1 Octillery. For those interested in getting involved in competitive play we believe this is a great starting point!
