Great addition to my boxing gear! It's a little difficult to get used to at first, but as long as you start with the black ball, and start with small punches, (think tapping it with your fists) until you get the rhythm, you should progress quickly. After just under a week, I've progressed to the red ball. The headband adjusts well, it fits me without issue and I have a pretty large head. The material for the balls is soft and spongy so while it can come back and hit you, it's soft enough that it doesn't hurt.

Answer:	You don't need gloves, but I when I wear gloves, I'm able to hit the reflex ball for a longer time. I don't use boxing or MMA gloves. Instead, I use leather work gloves. I think gloves make it easier because it gives your fist a bigger and more level striking area when hitting the reflex ball. For some reason, the gloves also keeps me from hitting the reflex ball too hard which is a good thing. If you hit the reflex ball too hard, it goes out-of-control.

Answer:	I gotta tell you ... that I simply am not coordinated to do well with these.. I suspect if you are very coordinated it would provide a certain level of unique training for sure. But for me a person without a sporty bone in his body... it will become a regift to one of my grandkids this year!
