Answer:	This is a great family game! No vulgar or questionable language is part of the play. Have fun!

Answer:	Mitchell said the wooden cities qtys and wooden roads qtys are reversed on the 5th edition (misprint). The qtys on the 4th (16 cities and 60 roads) is correct.

Answer:	Most games don't get several printings. Catan is one of the few that has gotten more than one. That happens when there is high enough demand to warrant more being produced. They also tend to change a thing here and there, like the robber changing from black to gray, or the box going from a square to a rectangle. A rules update here and there, and you have 5th edition. It's more about popularity than updates though.
Question:	Can someone tell me what the differences are between the 2nd and 1st generation games
Answer:	My husband and I play all the time. We don't use the "robber" but, if you roll a 7, you DO get to take one of the other's cards. The game takes a bit longer and you should always make one of your first choices a "3 for 1" trade port or you could be stuck without moves for a long time. We have learned to place our original settlements where we can collect the necessary cards to build roads AND future settlements. We didn't play for over a year because we couldn't find anyone else to play. We love the game and finally gave it a go on our own. You have to adjust your strategy and it's a far different game than it is with 3 or 4 players but it's still lots of fun. We love it!

Answer:	You can absolutely play with just two people. My daughter (age 10) and I play at least once a week. This game has a lot of flexibility if you want to change how you keep score or modify challenges to make them a little easier for younger players or less coordinated grown ups. Everything you need is in the box so you don’t need scrounge around the house to find items to complete challenge cards.

FIND THE SECRET WORD

Shuffle a chameleon card into the code cards and hand them out. One of you is now the chameleon. Roll the dice and use your code card to find the secret word (if you’re the chameleon just pretend!)

BLEND IN, DON'T GET CAUGHT!

Each player now says one word to prove that they know what the secret word is. If you’re too obvious the chameleon will work it out and will successfully blend in. If you’re too vague the other players will suspect you’re the chameleon!

SPOT THE CHAMELEON

Everyone votes on who they think the chameleon is. If they get it wrong the chameleon wins the game. If they get it right the chameleon still has a chance to escape by guessing the secret word.

Answer:	Thanks so much for asking! The product is made in China and I'd love to give you a little background that probably is too much information but thought some people might be interested as to how a 7-year-old made manufacturing decisions. There are card game manufactures in the US and most have extremely high minimum order quantities so when Alex (the then 7-year-old inventor) was first starting out with his Kickstarter he couldn't meet their minimum order quantities. We found an amazing company in China (The company's name is Bang Wee - Alex loved the name) who was willing to do smaller quantities and they were super supportive even though they knew he was only 7 years old. Since that initial Kickstarter the game has really taken off and Alex can order the larger quantities that a US manufacturer requires but he would still be a small fish for manufacturers who often work with big toy companies. He also knows that without Bang Wee he might not have ever been able to bring this product to life and they have been so good to him so he's decided to stay with that original manufacturer...although we make a point to review that every year and this year will go back to some US manufacturers to see if we can find a good fit. Also, finding manufacturers who work well with kids will be key (Alex is 9 now) as many people are not used to working with kids in manufacturing and thus Bang Wee has really shined in that regard. Also with the potential tariffs going in effect this month, Alex is learning a ton of about international trade which is such a great experience for him too. I mean how better to understand how tariffs work than to pay them yourself. We will update this Q&A if we do switch to a US Manufacturer.

Answer:	The game is designed to be played in teams competing against each other at the same time, but you could modify the game and act out the words as you wish. Perhaps one person goes first to see how many words they can get in 1 minute or whatever length of time you chose and then add up the scores.

Answer:	No. There is no written score keeping at all. First player to get all their Chickapigs through the gate is the winner.
Question:	In the edition currently being shipped, are the pieces still wood? Or are they now plastic
Answer:	I just got mine and the chickapigs, hay bales, cow, cow fence, and poop are all wood. The dice and timer are plastic.
Question:	Can you play with 6 adults
Answer:	I think if you were able to have 2 people team up for 2 of the colors and then 1 person on each of the other 2 colors it would work. Best to have 2, 4, or 8(4 teams of 2) playing but I could see that working if everyone is out to have fun and laugh alot.

Answer:	It's a fun game for all ages! Several schools in the Charlottesville area have their kids playing it.

What is this game?!

An exciting, fun-filled strategic board game where chicken–pig hybrids attempt to reach their goals while dodging opponents, hay bales, and an ever-menacing pooping cow. Why do your Chickapigs want to cross the board? To get to the other side. Duh!

Chickapigs and Haybales

• You want to get your entire flock of Chickapigs off the board by escaping through your goal, which is located directly across from your 6 Chickapigs. Chickapigs move by sliding until they hit something like a hay bale or cow.
• Hay bales are used offensively to help your Chickapigs find their way into your goal. They are also used defensively to block your opponents’ Chickapigs from getting to their goals. These move one space at a time.

The Cow and The Poop

• When a player rolls a 1, they have the option to pick up the cow and place it in any open square on the board. When the cow is moved, he poops!
• Cows like poop, Chickapigs do not! When you pass over a poop with a Chickapig or hay bale, remove the poop from the board and take a Poop Card. All of the POOP CARDS are bad because no one wants to step in poop.

Daisy Cards and The Hourglass

• When you roll a 2, you have the option of taking a Daisy Card instead of using your 2 moves. All the Daisy Cards are good. Keep the Daisy Card a secret and use it at any point during the rest of the game (while it’s your turn).
• One slow Chickapig player can really slow down the fun. Whether you use the included hourglass or set your own timer, feel free to impose a specified time per move to keep the game rolling along.

The Story Behind Chickapig

Chickapig was invented by Brian Calhoun, a custom guitar builder from Charlottesville, VA. After Brian invented the game, he teamed up with his friend, musician Dave Matthews, to develop Chickapig and bring it from farm to table. Answer:	The meme cards with the actual photos of memes are larger- maybe 5x7. But the caption cards seem to be the same size as the CAH cards, and I think mixing them might prove pretty hilarious (plus the added bonus of even more cards to keep the game going longer/be able to play with more people). Answer:	Yes. 98% of these memes are really tired and were popular over the last couple years. If you frequent Reddit or imgur you will find all of these stale. I just ordered and flipped through the whole pack and am pretty disappointed ( I'm a once-daily imgur user for reference).

Answer:	Due to our draconian ways, it is still illegal to play in South Dakota. Fortunately, some of us more enlightened thinkers have found a way to circumvent the rules. We create a crop circle in a corn field - corn is best because it's so tall. After the streets are rolled up, we convene at said circle. If we still get caught, we tell the constable that we're practicing for the opera - "Memememe." At this point, they usually scratch their heads and walk away with a look of utter bewilderment.

Answer:	Pieces would move if ANY table were bumped
Question:	The old game had one black and one white dice to determine your spot on the board. How do you determine your spot on the board with this edition
Answer:	Because the old "compact/travel" edition had the black and white dice, you only had one option of where to place your game piece. By using two white dice in this new edition, you have the choice of two spaces to place your game piece (e.g. if you roll 1 and 4, you can try 1 across and 4 down or 4 across and 1 down). This adds a choice/strategy element to the game that the old version didn't have. Also, this new edition has a feature that allows you to move pieces which are already on the board - if you roll doubles or "lucky seven" - so that you have another way of lining up three in a row. This new edition, which has a large board (much bigger than the original), basically blended some strategy/choice features to the element of chance.

Question:	How many people can play this game? I am having 3 people
Answer:	Having played this game (for the first time just yesterday), I really don't think that people will develop a "code". Kind of like Dixit, it is pretty free association for the images. Since the what, where, and who are random with a number of combinations and there are quite a few pictures, it will be very difficult to line up patterns all that much. I found it was pretty hard, in most cases, for the "ghost" to pick a good picture, so most of the selections were quite "out there". A lot of free association and using what other players were selecting to reduce the number of choices, it was a bit more possible to narrow things down.I believe that this will be a very replayable game but I also expect that after a few games, the players will get better at both picking pictures to associate and figuring out what the picture might mean, but not so much because of the selection of pictures but more because the thinking processes for both the ghost and the players will become more refine through learning how to pick.Overall, I find it to be a pretty good game.DaveBoardgames4us

Answer:	I've played it as both a 2 player game and a 7 player party game. 7 player version is better, but it's fun enough as a two player game that it's one of our go to games for my husband and me.

Answer:	Absolutely worth owning both. The gameplay mechanics and reasoning behind them are quite different. Whitechapel is about DEDUCTIVE reasoning based on Jack's hidden movement and trail. Players triangulate where the Jack player is based on where he has been. Sometimes there is only one solution. Pure logic. Mysterium's gameplay is all about INDUCTIVE reasoning. There can be more than one possible solution and gameplay is about getting inside another player's head to understand the solution they chose. Both Fabulous games. Mysterium is more accessible and family friendly. Non-gamers can get into it right away, while Whitechapel is more demanding. Whitechapel is more similar to Fury of Dracula, another great game that has just been republished.
