Answer:	No, I don't think you can play basketball with these gloves. The wires are too thin and fragile and are bad soldered. I bought it for my kids, they liked it, put it on and just ran around, the lights was flashing for about an hour, then a few wires were broken on both gloves and some lights stopped flashing. Amazon was very helpful, I had replacement in 2 days. I told my kids to be careful with it, it's still working.

The wings click back on easily, but when he's playing with it they tend to fall off under normal 4 year old 'flying around' conditions. Now he mainly plays with it as the "This one crashed" with the rest of his toys. The cockpit canopy was also has a pretty tight closure with a small lip to pry it open, and taking the pilot out and putting him back in during normal play also led to the pilot not being put back and is now MIA.

Answer:	If he is a 7 year old doing advanced gamed than yes. The cards are challenging in a athletic way. My grandson is tall for 5 , sorry 6 now, and the "portal" does not allow him to maneuver as well as I would like. But it is a year later, and he is still enjoying the game. I hope this helps.
