Taking a Turn

When a player takes a turn, they may move one marble. The marble can be moved to an adjacent open space or may jump over other marbles that are right next to the marble.

You can only jump over 1 marble at a time (for example you can't jump over 2 marbles that are next to each other), but you can do multiple jumps on the same turn;

as long as the hops are all lined up. You can hop over your own or your opponent's marbles. You do not have to hop over a marble if you don't want to. You can move in any direction.

Depending on the number of players there are different ways to play Chinese checkers, For example 2 players:

2 players - with two players you move all your marbles across the board to other player's start point. You can also play with multiple sets of marbles where each player plays 2 or 3 sets

or colors of marbles and has to move all of them across the board to win.
