Answer:	Practically nothing is actually "waterproof", especially a fabric. I haven't had it wet so I cannot say how water resistant it actually is, if at all. For a book-bag it's OK (my opinion is this is not a camping backpack). The 2 main compartments are quite narrow, maybe up to 5 inches each - maybe, and it really won't hold my day trip fishing gear and lunch that I bought it for (I didn't plan on using the 2 side bags). No way it holds a sleeping bag and enough gear for a couple days camping, unless you go complete minimalist.

Answer:	I did not immerse my bag completely in the water but if you close it properly, it will keep the water out and your belongings dry. I highly recommend this bag (and I am NOT a paid reviewer, I just bought the bag for my vacation at the beach to protect my camera). I used this bag every day to go to the beach to keep the sand & water out of my camera as well as get in and out of a catamaran boat tour. For the price, this is really a great bag and I am really glad I bought it. Have fun snorkeling!

Answer:	The bag is not designed to be submerged for longer than a few seconds. You will get some water around where the bag rolls if you submerge.

Answer:	Yes, main compartment is approximately 3" deep has a rubberized pocked on strap side & two mesh pockets on back side one is zippered. You should have no issue getting something that size into the compartment. I just did a review with pictures should be up after review. Hope this helps
