The most common cause of early string failure is over or under-winding, depending on whether you are right or left handed. A good yo-yoist must always work to keep just enough twist in the string. | Answer: | I got 3 of these yoyos for a 5year old, 12 year old boy, and 14 yr old girl. It is a great 'beginning yoyo' and the 5 year old was able to master the 'up and down' in a short time. He loved it, because other yoyos are not as responsive or easy. The 12 and 14 year olds worked HARD to master the sleep mode, but once they did, they love this yoyo as well. You have to be able to flick the yoyo very strongly and the sleep mode does not last more than 30 seconds, but is very responsive at the end of the 'sleep'. I think they are ready for the next level of yoyo to do more tricks, but these have been great entry level yoyos for all 3. |
