Answer:	Actually they have held up surprisingly well. I think the boys, age 3 and 5, have beaten everything in the house with these and all still look pretty good. I got them for Christmas a year and a half ago. They love them!

Answer:	Are u referring to the width of the “blade”? About an inch. It’s definitely a great, kid friendly light saber or sword. My grandson was a Star Wars fan at 2.5. He wanted a light saber but we were afraid he would hurt a friend or the dog. These are softer. He was able to have his light saber without worrying about others.

Answer:	We have really enjoyed these foam swords. The blade sections have held up admirably considering the battles that have been fought. The weak area is where the hand guard attaches to the butt end of the sword. 4 out of 6 have pulled out, but a simple repair is to cut a 2" piece of 3/8" dowel, run a thin, 1" sheet metal screw through the end of the hand guard into the dowel, and epoxy the dowel into the tube in the but end. None of these repairs have failed. For the price, I would buy them again.

Answer:	I'll start by saying they were presents for my 7 year old grandson. He and his friend have a ball with them - pretending they are light sabers. And, I have seen my son (much older than 13) and his wife mess with them. They (at least my son) go for the touche' while some rather intense swings might at times be returned. I think they would be safe for 13 year olds - but at that age competition is usually in the fore front, and if a duel were to break out in the house lamps, knick-knacks, and pictures could become collateral damage.
