Answer:	Hi, Thank you for your interest in the Case. Yes, the top egg crate shape sponge is made of top grade material, it is deep and soft to provide a gentle but secure hold to the case contents. What's more important, unlike many Mavic air 2 cases on Amazon, we added a cushion piece at the bottom of the remote controller compartment to elevate the remote so that the top sponge can hold the remote in place securely in either way (Face up or down). We bench marked many Mavic Air 2 cases on the market. Many of them use very shallow sponge with small crates. They don't provide a cushion to elevate the remote controller either. They typically cannot hold the remote controller in place very well. So again, to answer your question, yes, when you place the remote upside down, the top sponge is able to hold the remote from moving.

Answer:	This case is sturdier than I thought.It has a rigid fabric shell on the outside and it seems could be depressed a bit by heavy objects. I think it will give very good protection to the contents,with middle protected pad

Answer:	Maybe water resistant. It will resist water but I will not recommend submerging it in water,if you are caught out in the rain it will be ok
