Answer:	It's not very loud at all. If you have a lot of gears all connected, they make more noise than the motor. Last year I had to go thru 3 motor/controller combos before I got one to work, tho. The company was very nice to work with.
Question:	Has the wiring issue with the remote/motor been resolved so it doesn't break within the first few minutes as customer's have claimed

Answer:	No they will not. We have sets like this and we also have the learning resource gears. It is too late for me to return them or I would have so the gears could be used together for me creativity and fun. I will say that while the learning recourses are a little more pricey they seem much easier for my girls (3 and & 5 years) to use.

Answer:	I don't know for certain but based on the quality of these, my guesstimate is that VERY LITTLE consideration went into safety of these. It is a complete waste of money. The quality is as bad as the worst you can get. I typically buy wooden toys for my twin toddlers but the "gears" were something I thought would be challenging for them. I bought two sets and because I sent them by shipping company to me to Europe, it was too costly to return them. In the trash they went. Don't waste your money. MagnaTiles are a much better long lasting ( yet more expensive) alterntive that will last and keep them interested forever!

Answer:	I have both sets and use them together all the time. I am a classroom teacher and use these gears to teach many concepts to students the are compatible.

Answer:	The majority of the pieces are fine - there are 6 little tiny pegs though, which is probably why it is tagged as a choking hazard.

Answer:	The box is just cardboard, and even though we still use it for storing the set, we have an elastic band around it to keep it closed. I'm sure that we will need to find a new storage box soon.
