Answer:	Extra train tracks indicate the train set with which they are compatible, as I recall. I had no difficulty ordering extra tracks that fit.

Answer:	The tracks are about 1/8"thick so they are pretty sturdy. They click together pretty good. Without seeing your carpet though it would be hard to say. A solution though, would be to go buy a cheap floor mat, Or low nap rug for the train set. Since it is for a toddler, you would want to eliminate any frustration you can. You could maybe even get one that has the background of a train station. I have tile floors and I put down a low nap rug for my 2 year old grandchild to play with his train set on

I own 2 other similar sets..the LEGO website says .*Steam train measures over 3" (10cm) high, 5" (15cm) long and 2" (6cm) wide *Passenger wagon measures over 3" (10cm) high, 6" (16cm) long and 2" (6cm) wide *12 curved tracks 22.8" w & L. (Each track is about 6" long) I'd recommend purchasing the Train Track Assessory set #10506 ($20) nice assortment (view details @Lego.com). Train whistle has nice sound. Batteries last a long time. Very durable. Two grandsons played with this from age 2 to 6 or 7+. Not as babyish as Thomas engines etc. Hope this helps! ~

Answer:	They're rather big blocks and I wouldn't think they're so unsafe for 1.5 years and up. There's really no piece that's small enough to swallow. Worse thing a baby might do is him themself or another child with a block, but anyone can do that!

Answer:	Hello Karen, I have to say, I'm not absolutely sure. My granddaughter turned 11 just before Christmas. She put it together in what seemed like no time at all as soon as she opened it (and added her Squinkies to the production). But just turning 4, I would guess this might be too complicated. Has she put Legos together before? Unless you want to put it together, for the most part, I would say a Lego set geared for 6-12 years old would not be appropriate. Wish I could be of more help.
