Question:	How do you clean the toys? If I use alcohol, will the paint come off
Answer:	I would not use alcohol because babies put them in their mouths and the residue alcohol leaves is nasty. I just wash mine with soap and water, rinsing them well. You could do it with vinegar water as well as vinegar kills germs. They are not painted so colors don’t come off. Babies love these.

Answer:	As in the pipe "PVC"? And that other word, it's a chemical right? I have no idea. We didn't really read the package because my daughter just really wanted to play with it. I just know my daughter likes it. She plays with it for a good 15-20 minutes while we drive around town. We keep in the car mostly. Sorry I couldn't answer your question. Answer:	Yes, however they will take on water and the excess water will have to be squeezed out. To prevent bacterial growth, use a tablespoon or two of white distilled vinegar with a gallon of water for the washing solution, and be sure to squeeze as much water out after washing as possible. It is a GREAT toy and washing them will be necessary, but I found it to be easy!

Answer:	I really cant answer the question. If ur wondering if they are cheap looking no they werent. I got them for my nephew who is now 4 months old. I did open them up for a quick second to show him. To see if he would hold any of them. I remember the flower looking one with the grips. I was very surprised about cause the gripping on it was good and the rubber part where the toddlers would put in there mouth was actually good rubber on it ((or whatever it was)) ... would I recommend absolutely!

Question:	Is the paint on the blocks non toxic? I am concerned about lead based or toxic paint because my child puts it in her mouth
Answer:	Melissa and Doug's official email responses posted by other inquiring parents neither confirm or denies but reiterates their commitment to constant testing and audit of their toys from their overseas production facilities. My main concern is their prior recalls in Canada for elevated levels of Barium which is a heavy metal. There was no recall in the US as our threshold is higher than the Canadian standard. To be fair recalls for any manufacturer across any industry are common and M&D now adheres to the stricter standard for the US as well, however, I have seen a fair amount of their toys with paint chip even after light usage. My own collection of toys for my 15 mo old have been retired as I do not want him ingesting any paint chip period. And their lack of response to my email inquiry after receiving a defective set has made me purchase other brands for my baby's toys.
Question:	What is the recommended age for this product
Answer:	I would say between 6-36 months or 6 months to 3 years. My 2 year old loves it.

Answer:	In the Product Details of the page, it says, "Origin: China." I don't know if that turns you off, but it definitely helped teach my 22-month old how to say "oval," "diamond," and "hexagon." Yes, hexagon! But he spends more time making towers out of the blocks than fitting the blocks in the holes.
