Answer:	Your problem is most likely due to a small amount of extra plastic flashing on the escapement mechanism pivot pins, which causes a slight binding on this mechanism in its bearing pivot holes. The escapement mechanism is the small claw like translucent plastic piece at the very top of the clock that rocks back and forth with the pendulum movement allowing escapement gear it sets above to move one tooth at a time (making the characteristic tick-tock sound. Try slightly sanding the pivot pins on the escapement mechanism to ensure they fit into their mating pivot holes with absolutely no resistance...the escapement mechanism should be able to move back and forth totally freely...with no resistance.c
