Answer:	This product does not claim to be gluten free, however it is made with gluten free ingredients. My best guess is it is MOSTLY gluten free, but packaged in a facility that processes gluten products and would be cross-contaminated. This may not be a problem for those with less severe intolerance, those with Celiac or other severe gluten exacerbated issues should avoid these products.
Question:	What is the expiration date if I buy now
Answer:	I am sorry but I have no way of knowing that. Someone at the warehouse would have to look at the package for a use by date. I used my order over a period of several months and the last pack was as fresh as the first. Hope that helps a little.

Answer:	Since I am not looking at the page you were seeing I can only tell you what I ordered and received. You do NOT get 8 boxes of 8 pouches or 64 pouches. I ordered the "pack of 8" and got 8 pouches in one box.

Answer:	Hi Mildred Hoffman, Thank you for reaching out with your question. Our pouches are preserved by a combination of heat, the type of packaging and pH controls that are placed in succession to minimize bacterial growth. The purees are cooked to high enough temperature to kill any microbiological growth and then drops of lemon juice concentrate and/or ascorbic acid are added to lower the pH of the purees to a food safe range. Lastly, the type if packaging we use has an inner aluminum lining for vapor/moisture impermeability. Our first priority is making sure the pouches are safe for non-refrigerated storage, and in order to accomplish this, the food is cooked to accomplish commercial sterility. We take a lot of steps not to “overcook”, so as not to lose nutritional value, but the safety of the products necessitates that we cook the purees at >185 F. Answer:	I don't think it's good for a 7 month old (assuming he/she started at the typical 6 months for solids). The chia is ground up but you can still feel the grainyness.

Answer:	Nitrates are not formed during cooking. Nitrates are absorbed from the soil during growth and so they are a naturally occurring component of vegetables and are part of their metabolism. Infants under 3 months of age are at increased risk for nitrite (not nitrate, but the pH of an infant stomach can facilitate conversion of nitrates to nitrites) toxicity known as methemoglobinemia; but unless you are feeding your Regarding nitrite formation during storage, there are several factors which will inhibit that in commercial foods. First it is likely these are cooked in a moist environment either by steam or by blanching, both of which reduce vegetable nitrate content. Additionally, some of the conversion of nitrates to nitrites is facilitated by enzymes in the plant and bacteria in the environment. Both enzymes and bacteria will be inactivated by the heat necessary to produce a shelf stable package, so conversion from nitrate to nitrite should be minimal during shelf storage.

Answer:	They are the size of a large egg. Never had any of our great grandkids put them in their mouth. Don't think they would fit anyway. They like the color/number matching ones. They are hard to pull apart and the other ones just fall apart. Kids like pulling them apart.
