Answer:	Chalk is non-toxic. It's made out of Calcium Carbonate, which is the main ingredient in Tums, and other antacids. I wouldn't eat it though. It's for drawing!

They degrade quickly if left in the rain which happens allot in florida so I feel like they are natural enough and I'm assuming non toxic since they are used outside. If it were made with chemicals my dog would have gotten sick and my grass where the chalk washes away into woukd be dead. I think this is an amazing purchase. We got in October have still have a ton left even with the neighborhood kids coming over all the time to draw.
