User questions & answers

Question: can i weld aluminum with this welder
Answer: the 3.3s volt is a "Signal" voltage. It is not meant to drive a relay. You need more power to do that. Use a different kind of relay or build a driver circuit. Then you can use the signal "3.3v", to turn the relay on and off.
Question: Why does it come w/ gas guages
Answer: The signal goes high for about 2 seconds after sensing motion. That high signal will match the Vcc you provide, and can drive a 10mA LED by itself. I had trouble turning on a transistor for some reason, but it will light an LED by itself, just give it power.
Question: What is the duty cycle on this rig
Answer: no! Still trying to figure out how to wire!!
Question: Is this Miller part number 907614? Can it use 110 and 220 volt input
Answer: Hello, very easy the connection, you have 3 connectors, one is the positive, you need to check the Positive (+) sign and the other is the negative (-) , the middle one is the trigger signal when movement sensor works. You cannot adjust the time for trigger to be "ON" , normally is 14 seconds that stay active. Very careful to connect positive and negative, this units is very easy to burn

MIG155GSV 155 AMP INVERTER MIG/STICK ARC WELDER WITH DUAL VOLTAGE 220V/110V welding machine 3 Year Warranty

Based on 339 reviews Check latest price

Product description

MIG155Gsv is both MIG and self-shielded flux cored welding machine, which is equipped with unique electronic reactor circuit, which can precisely control the short-circuiting transfer and mixed transfer resulted in better performance than other machines. Compared with silicon controlled welding machine and tapped welding, our products have the following advantages: stable wire feed rate, portable, energy-saving, electromagnetic noise free. Besides, our products spatter less, easier arc starting, deep welding pool, high duty cycle etc.

  • Compact – portable – very capable quality welder that can run on either 110/115 or 220/230 volts which makes this a true workhorse with a completely portable footprint. Comes complete as pictured; ready for you to start welding. AND 3 YEAR WARRANTY!
  • Working voltage: 115V/230±15%; 30 to 155 Amp welding range; In MMA mode, this welder can be used as a very nice scratch arc TIG welder with optional accessories.
  • Comfortably welds up to 1/4 in. mild steel that is properly prepared using 220 volt input, in both MIG, flux-cored and stick welding. Feeds wire at 78 in. to 472 in. per minute and has infinitely adjustable wire speed and heat settings. This welder does not use tapped controls that are found in cheaper machines!
  • This model uses an advanced compact IGBT inverter design with automatic overheat and over current welding protection.
  • The model 155 incorporates 2T/4T modes. 4T is useful if you have a long weld to do, as it saves you having to hold the trigger down the whole time. Great feature for out of position welding.

User questions & answers

Question: Would the predator 9000 generator with 7250 continues run this and your larger inverter welders
Answer: The Hobart IronMan 230 is made in the U.S.A. and backed by Hobart's industry-leading 5-3-1 industrial warranty. You get a 5-year warranty on transformers, stabilizers, reactors, rectifiers, rotors, stators and brushes; a 3-year warranty on drive systems, PC boards, solenoid valves, switches and controls; and 1-year warranty on plasma torches, MIG guns, relays, contactor, triggers, regulator, accessories, spoolguns, battery, field options and running gear. (90-day limited warranty for industrial use). Normal wear items such as drive rolls, contact tips, nozzles, gas diffusers, plasma torch tips, electrodes and weld cables are not covered under this warranty.
Question: Where can I get a new welding torch that’s longer than the one supplied with this welder will the US pro welding 15 footer fit on this welder
Answer: My welder only came with .030 tubular 0.035 solid wheel. I recall that being an order able accessory. Not 100% sure but I thought it was suppose to have a #2 roll of FC. Overall, it’s been a damn good welder and I’d recommend it.
Question: Can use 10 pound spool wire
Answer: We ship this item at no charge. Thank you
Question: When using 110V, can you effectively weld 1/4”? If not, what’s the maximum capacity when using 110V
Answer: I think what you are asking is what the duty cycle is. It all depends on the heat setting you are using at the time. The duty cycle at about 140 amps is close to 100%, and drops to about 30% at 250 amps. I don't know what you will be welding, but even on pretty heavy iron (3/8" or so) using .035 solid wire and co2/ argon gas, I seldom ever use more than 125, to 140 amps, so I never exceed the 100% duty cycle. But I also very seldom have long enough welds at a time to matter. The welder I had before I bought the Ironman 230, was just a 150 amp with about a 30% duty cycle at 120 amps, and it was still going after nearly 30 years, and I used it for some pretty big projects.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work for. Millermatic
Answer: In order to use the Forney Easy Weld 140 MP with gas you will have to purchase a regulator (85363) and gas hose (85663). Thank you for your question.
Question: Will it fit Hobart
Answer: It's an efficiency thing. If you double the voltage, you get the same power with half the current. You will see a very small drop in your power bill (no you won't, the difference is too small) with a 240v appliance over a 120v appliance that does the same thing. This welder does use a lot of power. If you have a 240v plug available where you are working, you should use it. If you only have 120v at the work site you have to use it but you will draw more current for the same work, your extension cords will get hotter, you will pop breakers/fuses more often at high welding currents. The welder itself doesn't care, and the person doing the welding won't care.
Question: Will this fit a Millermatic 130 welder with an M15 gun
Answer: No, this is a very nice light-duty welder. It is set up for 120V supply. It comes with a standard 30A USA 120v plug, along with an adapter for the normal 20A outlets commonly found in US buildings. I admit that I couldn't find the adapter at first, because it was shipped already on the power cord. The welder works very well for my needs.
Question: Will this fit a Hobart 180 handler
Answer: Hello! This machine is DC output only so it will not be able to TIG weld aluminum. Thank you for your question!

User questions & answers

Question: Does this plug in to a standard wall outlet or need to be hard wired to 110 at the breaker panel

User questions & answers

Question: This come with the welding wire
Answer: I'm sorry it took as long as it did for me to answer you. I have no prior knowledge of this Predator generator and I had to look that up. I also would like to preface what I'm about to say with I am not a generator expert. Also I wanted to be sure that I looked up the specific amperage draws of our different welders. The formula for calculating the answer to your question is pretty straight forward. Generators measure their output in Watts in order to determine what wattage is necessary the formula is as follows... Volts X Amps = Watts. The machine you are asking about runs 7250 continuous Watts but it does not take into account what percentage of fluctuation of output amperage this machine makes, how clean is this machine? How reliable is the output amperage? I have no idea but let's plug the numbers in assuming the machine can maintain a relatively stable output. The model 155 draws max 25.4 amps on 230V in MIG mode or, 5842 watts. It draws 26.7amps on 230V in stick mode or, 6141 watts. So for this small machine it would appear yes all else being ok. Now, for example, our 200 amp MIG draws in MIG mode 35.7 amps at 230 V or, 8211 watts. It draws 41.7 amps in stick mode at 230 V or, 9591 watts. So for our larger inverters, it would appear no, that generator cannot provide sufficient output to run the welders at full potential welding power.
Question: What type of .30 tip? Thread pitch? Size
Answer: So only going by the pictures this appears to be a Tweco style gun similar to what the older Lincoln’s ran. Unfortunately you will have to find out what the US pro welding gun has for a back end.
Question: Is the wire supposed to move really slow even turned all the way up
Answer: No, not on the 155 model. 2lb
Question: Do you know what the power output is turned all the way down
Answer: This question really is more a generic question than it is specific to any brand welder. If you're giving it half the power it can use. Generally, you can figure you're going to get half the result. So prepared properly and possibly a little bevel, 1/8in would be about max Remember voltage is the pressure or pushing force of the amperage or heat.

Product description

Power and versatility top the list of features of the Power i-MIG 200. The new digital IGBT inverter design of the i-MIG welder reduces the weight and footprint of the unit making it truly portable. The dual voltage design allows the unit to be used about anywhere a receptacle is present. This unit packs more features than any MIG welder in its class. Dual digital displays feature both volt and amp readouts allowing the operator to make precise and repeatable adjustments to the parameters. The stick function adds an extra dimension of versatility and performance when a MIG welder isn't needed or practical. The Arc force control controls manages the arc characteristics in both MIG and Stick modes. In MIG mode, it controls current rise time, affecting puddle fluidity, bead contour, and penetration. In stick mode the arc force control behaves as a DIG control function and improves arc performance in short arc situations. Automatic Preflow and Postflow control improves weld quality during stops and starts helping to reduce porosity for high quality results. The new adjustable burn back control reduces trimming required so the wire is at the perfect length for each restart. When you consider all these features and performance, the all new Power i-MIG 200 is among the best you'll find in its class yielding professional level results. MIG: Weld up to a maximum of 7/16" in a single pass weld* 240V Weld up to 3/4" in multiple pass weld 240V Weld a minimum of 24 gauge 120/240V Weld a maximum of 1/8" single pass on 120V Weld a maximum of 1/4" multi-pass on 120V *Single pass welds greater than 1/4" are not generally recommended as a sound welding technique. Weld with an electrode with a minimum diameter of 1/16" 120/240V Weld with an electrode with a maximum diameter of 5/32" 240V Weld with an electrode with a maximum diameter of 3/32" 120V

  • Digital IGBT Inverter design offers stable, low spatter arc performance
  • Arc force control (Inductance) adjusts arc characteristics in both MIG and Stick modes
  • Capable of SMAW (Stick) welding when MIG conditions aren't ideal / Flux core capable
  • Eurostyle quick coupler allows easy aftermarket changeover to other MIG guns
  • Weld aluminum with optional MIG gun / Automatic Preflow and Postflow / Adjustable Burn back control

User questions & answers

Question: Why did the price jump from $650 to
Answer: Harbor freight Carrie's them
Question: where can you find the correct spool gun for the 200 i-mig unit
Answer: Yes
Question: How thick material can it weld up to
Answer: No you wont get all the power probably around 140 amps max @120. There is no way around using the full 200 amps without using 240. Buythe smaller version if you dont want to install a 240 outlet at your house. A 140 amp mig welder will do most jobs around house....i usually go up to 1/4" with my 140mig anything bigger i use my 250 amp mig welder. Dont try to convert a 240 volt welder to 120 like suggested below. This will just void any warranty lol. If you asking theses type of questions just buy a 140amp mig ....there cheaper
Question: What is the thickest metal that should be welded when using this welder
Answer: No .035 is max
Question: What contact tips are compatible
Answer: Gracias por su interes. Esto no es un láser, es solo un enrutador.
Question: does it hold 10 pound spools
Answer: The E3 has a 17.7" x 15.3" cutting area and a 1/4" insets on the spoilboard. The E4 has a 24" x 24" cutting area and a t-slotted spoilboard. Both assembly manuals can be downloaded and reviewed on the BobsCNC webpage.
Question: If you have it plugged into a regular 120 outlet instead of a 240 you don’t get the full 200 amps? Is this correct
Answer: I suppose it could be done, but it is not needed. The Nema17 stepper motors have more than enough torque. The CNC can jog at over 200 inches per minute. and has plenty of torque for cutting at cutting feed rates.
Question: Will it take .045 wire? If no, what is the maximum wire thickness it does
Answer: The cutting area is of the E4 is 24" x 24" so you would need to tile the work by cutting the first 24", them moving the workpiece and cutting the next 24". Also, we have a customer that modified his E4 so that it has a 24" x 48" cutting area. Please contact us thru our webpage and I will email you the pdf plans if you are interested.
