12 best miller electric mig welders
Miller Electric is a well-known brand in the welding industry, specializing in manufacturing a wide range of welding equipment, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welders.MIG welding is a popular welding process that uses a wire electrode and a shielding gas to join metals together. Here's what you can generally expect when it comes to Miller Electric MIG welders:
Diverse Product Line: Miller Electric offers a diverse lineup of MIG welders suitable for various applications, from hobbyist and DIY projects to industrial and professional use. Their product range includes both compact and larger, more powerful welders to cater to different welding needs.
Inverter Technology: Many of Miller's MIG welders utilize inverter technology, which provides better control over the welding arc, increased energy efficiency, and improved portability due to their compact size and reduced weight.
Welding Process Options: Some Miller MIG welders are versatile and offer multiple welding processes, including MIG, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and Stick welding. This versatility allows welders to handle a broader range of projects with a single machine.
Digital Controls: Some models feature digital controls and displays, making it easier for welders to adjust settings precisely for the specific welding task.
Portability: Miller Electric produces portable MIG welders with handles and wheels for ease of transport. These are commonly used for on-site welding jobs.
Duty Cycle: Miller welders come with different duty cycle ratings, indicating how long the welder can operate continuously at a specific amperage setting before needing a cooldown period. Duty cycles vary between models, so you can choose one that suits your needs.
Accessories: Miller Electric also offers a range of accessories and consumables, such as welding helmets, gloves, wire feeders, and welding wire, to complement their welding machines.
Support and Training: The company often provides customer support and training resources, including welding guides, videos, and manuals, to help users get the most out of their welding equipment.
Miller Electric is known for producing high-quality welding equipment, and their MIG welders are trusted by both professional welders and hobbyists alike. The choice of a specific model will depend on your welding requirements, including the materials you intend to weld, the thickness of the metal, and the level of control and features you need for your projects.

User questions & answers
Question: | can i weld aluminum with this welder |
Answer: | the 3.3s volt is a "Signal" voltage. It is not meant to drive a relay. You need more power to do that. Use a different kind of relay or build a driver circuit. Then you can use the signal "3.3v", to turn the relay on and off. |
Question: | Why does it come w/ gas guages |
Answer: | The signal goes high for about 2 seconds after sensing motion. That high signal will match the Vcc you provide, and can drive a 10mA LED by itself. I had trouble turning on a transistor for some reason, but it will light an LED by itself, just give it power. |
Question: | What is the duty cycle on this rig |
Answer: | no! Still trying to figure out how to wire!! |
Question: | Is this Miller part number 907614? Can it use 110 and 220 volt input |
Answer: | Hello, very easy the connection, you have 3 connectors, one is the positive, you need to check the Positive (+) sign and the other is the negative (-) , the middle one is the trigger signal when movement sensor works. You cannot adjust the time for trigger to be "ON" , normally is 14 seconds that stay active. Very careful to connect positive and negative, this units is very easy to burn |

Question: | Is the shipping weight correct, 17.34 pounds |
Answer: | I don’t know whether or not Marcum has made improvements to this unit or not. I can only attest to the unit that I purchase in 2016 and it responds about 30% of the time. 70% of the time it can’t find the bottom. It’s great when it works, but frustrating when it doesn’t I’d look for another manufacturer’s unit. |

User questions & answers
Question: | This come with the welding wire |
Answer: | I'm sorry it took as long as it did for me to answer you. I have no prior knowledge of this Predator generator and I had to look that up. I also would like to preface what I'm about to say with I am not a generator expert. Also I wanted to be sure that I looked up the specific amperage draws of our different welders. The formula for calculating the answer to your question is pretty straight forward. Generators measure their output in Watts in order to determine what wattage is necessary the formula is as follows... Volts X Amps = Watts. The machine you are asking about runs 7250 continuous Watts but it does not take into account what percentage of fluctuation of output amperage this machine makes, how clean is this machine? How reliable is the output amperage? I have no idea but let's plug the numbers in assuming the machine can maintain a relatively stable output. The model 155 draws max 25.4 amps on 230V in MIG mode or, 5842 watts. It draws 26.7amps on 230V in stick mode or, 6141 watts. So for this small machine it would appear yes all else being ok. Now, for example, our 200 amp MIG draws in MIG mode 35.7 amps at 230 V or, 8211 watts. It draws 41.7 amps in stick mode at 230 V or, 9591 watts. So for our larger inverters, it would appear no, that generator cannot provide sufficient output to run the welders at full potential welding power. |
Question: | What type of .30 tip? Thread pitch? Size |
Answer: | So only going by the pictures this appears to be a Tweco style gun similar to what the older Lincoln’s ran. Unfortunately you will have to find out what the US pro welding gun has for a back end. |
Question: | Is the wire supposed to move really slow even turned all the way up |
Answer: | No, not on the 155 model. 2lb |
Question: | Do you know what the power output is turned all the way down |
Answer: | This question really is more a generic question than it is specific to any brand welder. If you're giving it half the power it can use. Generally, you can figure you're going to get half the result. So prepared properly and possibly a little bevel, 1/8in would be about max Remember voltage is the pressure or pushing force of the amperage or heat. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this machine run 0.35 wire |
Answer: | Yes! The machine will run 024, 030, and 035 wire. In addition, iris capable of all three sizes on one feed roller ... just depends on how you have the drive roller set. Check out millerwelds.com for videos! This machine is amazing and we have made so much money with them. We own two |
Question: | Will this machine hold a 10 lb spool of wire |
Answer: | Sure. Actually a 8" spool the weights of the spools can vary. |
Question: | Where is this welder made |
Answer: | All the components are made in china ,while the case may be made here and the final assembly is in the US , |
Question: | What size generater is needed to power this Miller |
Answer: | According to the Miller 2018 catalog, if the Miller 211 (dual voltage 120vac/220vac) and is plugged into 120 Volts AC, input current draw is up to 24.3 amps ,if the unit is plugged into 220 volts AC, the input current requirement is up to 16.6 amps, assuming these current requirements are at maximum welding setting, turning the welder to lower settings will certainly reduce the input current requirements. Amazon sells a 7000 watt generator with four 120V 20A three-prong outlets, a twist-lock 120/240V 30A outlet. This should be sufficient to run the welder if you plug it into the generator's 220V outlet. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this plug in to a standard wall outlet or need to be hard wired to 110 at the breaker panel |
Answer: | Great Question! The end caps are removable so that you can take them out to butt the end hard up against a ceiling or whatever it be. If you were to butt the end up against a ceiling with the caps in, there is no way to ensure levelness. |
Question: | does it come with the upgrades or is that extra |
Answer: | No, this level (I have the 8' version) is not magnetic, but it is lightweight. |
Question: | What is the duty cycle |
Answer: | Usually UPS |
Question: | I want to get a 110v Mig unit. How would this be for a "Beginner" model? I am also considering Longevity Migweld 140 and Eastwood 135. Thanks |
Answer: | China |
