There is a trigger on the tig torch itself that is very useful when climbing around on a project, but when sitting down to a project the variable foot pedal will give precision to your weld. If your using the torch switch plug the two prong plug attached to the torch cables into the recepticle next to the lead input, to use the foot pedal disconnect the torch two prong plug and replace it with the two prong plug for the foot pedal. |

| Answer: | I do not understand the question. Is it a misprint and do you mean spool gun? Or do you mean the typical welding gun that came with the welder. The most common gun shipped with this welder is the Magnum 100L I believe. If you are replacing the diffuser, I guess this is the right part. BUT why are you finding the need to replace the diffuser? Most often we simply replace the tips which are sized to the wire diameter. You can use .023, .030, .035 tips, usually available in a package of 6 or so for pretty short money. The typical MIG pliers have a small serrated opening on the "tines" for installing and removing tips. It is most useful to keep the tips clean and if you are welding with flux core (I do NOT use that stuff - and if your welder has a gas controller, you might try to avoid it too. Too messy welds and lots of cleanup and spatter. If the tip is getting dirty, spin off the nozzle and clean the tip with the MIG pliers tips by opening them and spinning them inside the nozzle. Also, you can use "tip dip" to try keep the spatter from adhering inside the nozzle. I usually associate the need to replace the diffusers with putting a "gas lens" into my TIG torch. If some previous owner has abused the torch by over tightening tips, you might need to replace there, but in normal use, I never replace these. I have a Lincoln Power MIG 180C and built an entire street rod including total chassis fabrication using my welder and never even had to remove the diffuser.
