Answer:	Yes- I use it exclusively for soldering Argentium, Sterling, and 14K gold. It's plenty hot to melt things, and for fine soldering, you need to be careful. But with practice you can solder just about anything. I work anywhere from 28ga wire to 14ga sheet- no problems. You just use the edges of the flame for the finer stuff, and control the heat with distance from the flame and heatsinks.

Answer:	I have one of these in my camping equipment and would not go camping without it. You can use it on the coleman canisters to start wood campfires without having to find small bits of starter wood and to start several charcoal bricks for cooking. This allows me to buy the cheaper charcoal and not have to buy starter fluid which I dont like carring in my camping gear.

Answer:	NO DO NOT TIP THE BOTTLE For 22.79 I bought the Worthington Cylinder 309336 Universal Torch Extension Hose Adapter This will enable you to put the flame to any you prefer with no danger of ruining your torch head or having a flash back into the tank = explosion. Mapp Gas and Propane Gas tanks should never tipped. There are particles that settle to the bottom of the tank, and also a separation of gases. It is NOT 100 percent propane when put into tank there is a very small percentage of other things that get placed into the tank when it if filled at the manufacture. The only way to keep yourself safe and your equipment safe is to use it in a correct way. There is also a preventive sealant coating put on the all parts of the torch head. that you can see with your eyes. Taking the parts apart lets the material travel through the torch and it will ruin the orings inside the torch head and then be a danger of gas leaking while in use. Remember orings only last for up eight years so even if your torch head is showing no signs of failing once it gets to eight years old your should replace the torch head for a new one. The can explode like a bomb if gas gets out the head and the gas is then ignited by a flame or heat source. You life and your family/friends life is worth the money spent every eight years for a new torch head. I;d like to see Worthington or Bernzomatic have a discount program for those that turn in an eight year old torch head that they registered at time of purchase and then the consumer would receive a loyalty discount coupon for a percentage off the purchase of a new torch head. It will cost some money for new torch heads every eight years, over your lifetime to be safe, but it is worth it, You are actually playing with fire ( in this case a potential bomb) if you do not. Answer:	Unfortunately not. Never understood why. Would save some money. Or at least be able to return them for a deposit. I sit here and look at 19 empties. One day I’ll turn them into something. I’ve turned one into automatic chain oiler for a round baler. If you’re handy, if you brainstorm enough, there’s many things you can turn them into. If you google it, they should have some ideas.

Answer:	I do not think it is safe to run an extension hose and then connect to your hand torch. I suppose TS 8000 is a hand torch that goes directly on the MAPP gas cylinder. That is why it is called hand torch not hosed torch. It is designed that why for safety concerns. If you need an hosed one, try Mr Torch 8388.
Question:	Will this torch work with propane and map gas
Answer:	There's a chart which shows a MAPP column I believe it supposed to be this product showing 3750 F in air. Seeing as actual MAPP burns at 3670 F according to Wikipedia, we can assume the "MAPP" column is supposed to be for this MAPP Substitute. So, in short 3750 F, if the marketing is to be believed.

Answer:	I have not personally tried it, but the manufacturer says you can use either Mapp gas or propane.

Question:	Does this torch adapt to a 20 pound
Answer:	Yes it is plastic. The trigger as well as the gas adjustment valve is plastic. The photo is correct...both are blue plastic. Positive aspect: they work very well..smooth action Negative aspect: not sure how many falls or drops it could handle without failure. Hope that helps you
Question:	Does it come with the holder? And can you use Map gas tank with it
Answer:	Yes it has worked for me when upside-down.

Answer:	Don't know, couldn't find "Made in China" anywhere. DID find "assembled in Mexico" which would point to USA origin. Commercial quality? Yes, I would say so. 5 stars in my book, a rare rating from a guy who uses tools all the time and knows a good tool when he sees and uses one.

Answer:	The regulator on this torch is made to fit the larger propane tanks. Ones you would find on larger barbeques or camp trailers, etc. It has a 7/8" left hand thread on the fitting that screws onto the tank. It will not fit on the smaller 1 lb. bottles.
