Answer:	The solder moves with heat, but does not burn off completely when it reaches the desired location (the flux removes oxidation, allowing the solder to form a strong molecular bond to the surface).Putting solder on top of an iron first is a very effective way to burn off the flux in the solder, and then you put it where you need to weld it. I often put the soldering iron where I want the solder, then heat it up and bring the solder into contact with the same joint.On the wire, the iron will touch the other side as solder - so the solder flows to the hot iron.In these applications, the connection was too small, so I got as close as possible to the solder that connected the touch iron. If I need to apply solder to the iron first and then bring it to the connection, I use a solder pen or paste to apply to the connection and then weld it.

Answer:	We have not had personal experience with resin. However in a Youtube search "how to remove bubbles in resin" there are videos showing a heat gun being used. Answer:	Sounds like you may have a cold soldering connection on the 555 chip. Reflow the solder connections on the the 555 chip to eliminate that as a a possible failure point. If the problem persists then you'll have to reflow the rest of the components on the board. Welcome to the world of electronics.

Answer:	Quality? Oh, about average. So far, so good, though. The only flaw I found was in one of the alligator clips. Typical Radio Shack style. One was a bit crimped in the clamp. No problem straightening it out, however. Easily replaceable, anyway. The base has a nice weight to it. And little rubber feet. It has been valuable for gluing small parts together.

Answer:	I was missing an entire set of resistors, so yeah I had that issue. Along with the rest of the lights not illuminating.

Answer:	It might come with 2 wires to attach a power source but typically it just depends on what they send you. I've ordered multiple of these and they each have arrived with different parts from each other and they usually are missing at least 1 item but they usually include extra parts or unneeded parts. I however have just used my own separate power separately.

Answer:	This happened to me, and Thomas Bowman's reply led me in the right direction. Check the two ICs in the center.. for me, it was U2 4017, which I had placed upside down.

Answer:	Pretty sure that the components you receive vary widely since I suspect they just use surplus parts to keep the price down. Having said that, you probably already know some basic electronics or you wouldn’t need to learn how to solder SMD stuff anyway. Examine the circuit board traces to determine if the connections are serial or parallel and do a little basic math. This is also a good time to learn how to decipher SMD component markings so you know what resistance, capacitance, etc. each individual piece should have. Or just measure each piece before you solder it in.

Tips:

1.Be careful not to burn yourself when using it because it is high temperature.

2.Make sure that you have connected the heat gun handle to the station before turn on it. And Only can unplug the heat gun after turn off station. Otherwise, it will burn out the heat gun handle and damage the main machine of the rework station.

3.When you stop using soldering station,please don’t disconnect the plug immediately when you turn off the power button of soldering station. And this soldering station will automatically shut down as soon as it stop blowing wind. Otherwise you will shorten the life of soldering station.
