Answer:	Yes you can talk and people can hear you. Be sure and get the P-100 filters with Organic Vapor (OV) protection. It is a better mask than any Health care worker has access to. I bout one for my Mom and Aunt when I read that one purchaser had worn it in the field during the ebola crises. Granted it isn't designed for that but it works and will keep you alive. I recommend facial powder if you plan to wear it on a hot day. Just make sure it is fitted well. It's fun to shop in everyone gives you plenty of social distance.
