Instructions for use:



1. Hold the end of the strap with both hands, and pull the strap out so that the mask can completely cover the nose and mouth area, and connect the fasteners behind the neck to seal the mask and face.



2. Pull the end of the strap again and tighten it further.



3. Before use, check the mask to determine if it is properly sealed.



4. During the use process, when the user smells the odor or the suction resistance increases, the life of the filter cartridge has expired. Please replace the filter cartridge or filter cotton immediately.

Question:	Where do I buy more filters for the mask
Answer:	It does not run off of "regular" size batteries if you are using the U.S. standards. A standard AAA, AA, C, and D batteries all deliver about 1.5 volts. The supplied batteries deliver about 3.7 volts. In addition the length of the supplied rechargeable batteries is basically the same as the standard D batteries (approx. 2.5"). The C battery length is approximately 1 3/4". Since the "connection" for the batteries is made by the connection between the light and the "cap" of the flashlight and the fact that the width of the opening of the barrel is approximately 3/4" neither the C, D battery would fit and all of the "standard size" batteries would be too "short" to establish the necessary connection.

Question:	What full face respirator works best with glasses
Answer:	Yes and no. The filter contains 2 elements...the chemical filter cartridge, and the P100 particle filter material. For the chemical cartridge, it will eventually lose it's ability to filter hazardous chemicals...after 3 years from the manufacture date, after maybe a few weeks upon breaking the package seal ( depending on storage environment), after 8 hours of exposure to chemicals ( depending on chemical type and concentration). Bottom line is it cannot be "reused" to filter hazardous chemicals after it ceases doing so effectively. The particle filter actually increases in effectiveness as it becomes loaded with particles. The point at which the particle filter must be replaced is when it becomes difficult to breath through, or when it is contaminated with a hazardous substance and cannot be decontaminated. If using to filter pathogens, the particle filter can be disinfected with hydrogen peroxide (3%-7% H2O2 1 min or more contact time) and used until breathing becomes difficult. Spray with H2O2 until wet and keep wet for at least 1 minute, and allow to dry fully before using again. Just note, it will no longer filter hazardous chemicals and can be used to filter particles only, and should be marked as such. If the contaminant is a hazardous substance like asbestos, lead or a chemical, discard the filter using appropriate HAZMAT protocols after 1 use.

Answer:	I wouldn’t rely on any of these comments, I’d call 3M directly... Now, my understanding is that a Coronavirus, for instance, is about 125 nanometers in diameter. The P100 filters are usually 99.97% good for particles of .3 microns and larger... A quick conversion is .3 microns = 300 nanometers... hence, a Coronavirus at 125 nm would probably sail right on thru being only a tad more than 1/3rd of the filtering hole size... Answer:	According to the 3M "Respirator Selection Guide" (pg. 86 of the 2015 guide), oxalic acid requires an OV (Organic Vapor) filter and an N95 (Particulate) filter. This cartridge, 60923, has OV, AG (Acid Gas) and P100 (Particulate) filters in the cartridge, so the answer to your question is yes, this cartridge will 'work' (filter) for oxalic acid (bearing in mind that the filter has IDLH and OEL restrictions that have to be met for the efficacy of the cartridge to be insured).

There may be an adapter kit that fits on the inside of the lens that would hold special eyeglasses that would get your specific prescription lenses.

Answer:	Yes, if you encounter any of those items, a P-100 HEPA filter needs to be in place on this mask. However, commercial asbestos abatement contractors would have different requirements for employees than a homeowner or do-it-yourselfer.

Answer:	The NFPA could not certify this because it's not a supplied air unit. That is why firefighters use SCBAs. It would be dangerous to trust your life to this in an oxygen deprived environment... Answer:	It is ok be hooked to your compressor. Don't know the connection type of your mask or helmet. It should be Bayonet, just as 3M 6000 series masks.

Answer:	This is NOT recommended hydraulic oil is not ideal. The use of a vegetable oil would be a smarter idea, But would need to be changed more often in the compressor. There are other better options in air supply delivery. But with the right filtration system, this could be done. The charcoal filter helps with the removal of must of the oils but would need to be changed more often as well. A good filter is a must to be safe as long as the system get maintained and kept in proper working order, Be safe and maintain fresh air to the user.

Answer:	Yes! I purchased this mask for work. I'm a school teacher. The mask is deceptively light and every breathe circulates filtered air around your eyes and feel cool and invigorating. My experience with this mask has been very comfortable compared to the conventional mask and safety glasses.

Answer:	Yes, the 3M respirator come in different sizes (small, medium, and large). The 3M company distinguishes the various sizes by the last 3 digits in the model number. The model 6900 is the large size. The model 6800 is medium, and model 6700 is the small. If you are and adult women, you probably should get a small size, but you might be able to wear a medium, depending on the shape and size of your face. Know that the half face and full face models (I think) use a different sequence of numbers to indicate size. For example, (not sure of the exact numbers) 6100 might indicate a small size, 6200 might be a medium, and 6300 might be a large. These masks, I think, are all called the 6000 series. Some sizes seem to be much more popular than others, (for example, small might be easier to get than large, since most men wear the large size). To test for proper fit, the mask needs to be airtight. You can only test it when you receive and try on the mask. You do this by putting on the mask with the filters completely off of the mask. Put the palm of each hand over each filter port, so that it forms an airtight seal. Then breathe in to make sure that the mask fits well enough so that the mask is sucked up more tightly against your face, and is able to hold that for a short time while you are holding your breath. It may take a little practice to get the hang of it. A leaky mask will not provide proper protection, and will not seal well if fitted so that hair gets between the rubber seal and your skin. I think that the 6000 series masks are made from a regular, lower cost rubber. I think that the 7000 series are made from silicone rubber, which probably will provide a longer operating life, and may (not sure) seal better against the skin. Silicone rubber is significantly more expensive. Silicone rubber may be less irritating to sensitive skin A half face mask is much cheaper than a full face mask, but contaminants, including viruses etc can touch the eyes and perhaps cause problems. I don't know which design is more comfortable. Some people say the half face design is more comfortable, and others say the full face design is more comfortable. The full face design might be vulnerable to the face shield fogging up, but you can probably buy from amazon an antifogging solution. Also, the full face plastic shield may need a transparent plastic anti scratch film (amazon also) to protect from scratches. etc You probably need to buy filters also. Each mask requires 2 filters. A p100 filter is more protective than a p95 filter. 'N' filters are also available. I think that the 'p' filters are rated for use if the air has oily contaminants (pesticide sprays) and may also just have a longer lifespan under average conditions (I think 40 hours for 'p' filters). I think the 'n' filters have much shorter lifespans (maybe 8 hours), but I am not sure. I think 2 types of filters are available cartridge filters, which are sort of rectangular, an are used inside a plastic retainer: and circular pancake filters. The cartridge filters are available with multiple protections intrinsic to each filter ('particulate' and 'organic vapor', combined into 1 filter cartridge). the combinations are distinguished by a specific color,(for easy identification) and also by a number. I think the 'pancake filters are only available for particulate filtration, but I am not sure. When it becomes hard to breathe through a filter, or otherwise is different than a new filter, it should be replaced with a new set of filters. Probably if the filters are known to be contaminated with infectious material (virus), they should probably be replaced also, and handled as though they were infectious (don't touch with ungloved fingers or touch your face etc). The filters are used with plastic retainers. I don't think 3M filters work with North masks. Chinese masks may work with 3M filters. Call a specialized safety equipment store for info. i am not an expert.

Answer:	There are 2 sizes per my understanding. If you have to tighten a nonfitted baseball cap, then get the small.
Question:	What is the rating of the cotton pad
Answer:	Not currently - 3M issued a letter in July regarding the critical components for this product being included but they're not able to include the bag in the kits anymore due to supply constraints. The bag's SKU is 70-0716-7338-1 and can be purchased separately.
Question:	Does this unit have anti-fog materials or is it treated to prevent fogging

Answer:	No it will not fit. 3m Papr hose uses a different lock mechanism. The 3m respirators in general are bayonet type. Some go the extra mile by using 3d printed adapters (bayonet to papr adapters)
