Answer:	To turn it on, you must cycle through the different modes. After it stays on a mode for more that 3 seconds, the next button press will turn it off. This allows you to turn it off without cycling through the modes.

Answer:	Please verify that when you charge the battery, the red light above the USBC connector remains on. Then make sure the battery is fully plugged into the LED strip when you push the power button on the LED strip. If it still doesn't work, we will send you a replacement.

Step 1

Place the respirator over your nose and mouth with bottom straps unfastened.

Step 2

Pull the top strap over your head, placing the head cradle on the crown of your head.

Step 3

Hook the bottom straps together behind your neck.

Step 4

Adjust strap tension to achieve a secure fit. Pull the ends of the straps to adjust the tightness beginning with the adjustment points at the top of the respirator and then moving to the adjustment points at the back of the neck. Do not over-tighten. Strap tension may be decreased by pushing out on back side of buckles.

Using Particulate Filters

Place your thumbs over the center of the filters and inhale gently. The facepiece should collapse slightly. If air leaks between the face and the faceseal of the respirator, reposition it and adjust the straps for a more secure seal.

Using Cartridges

Answer:	The respirator consists of two pieces - the mask itself and the bands that hold it in place on your head - plus the replaceable filters of course (ordered separately). You don't need to take apart the 2 pieces for cleaning, just take off the filters. I don't think it would be worthwhile to replace either piece of the respirator separately.
Question:	Does 3M filter fit? Note, merely indicating "filters are easily changed" does not answer my question
Answer:	The most common filter for dust is the HEPA filter, it is the P100. The chemical cartridges are specific to exposure. 3m has a page on their website titled "3m PPE Safety Solutions", this page will direct you to a matrix for specific exposure/cartridge matching. "Warning" before entry into an OSHA/NIOSH PEL or IDLH atmosphere, a fit test is suggested and I would say mandatory for personal safety. Certain atmospheres of use would mandate a full face piece or gas-proof goggles.

Answer:	Yes, just be sure to get the right filter. 3M makes lots of them, and you can get the right tables from them. I use the cartridge P100 for metal dusts.

Answer:	Dust Mask and Filter Cartridge Ratings Respiratory Filters come in a variety of ratings that relate to how the respirator performs (how much it filters) and what environment type it is designed to be used in. When choosing a respirator it's important to understand that as the letter rating and number rating increase, breathing fatigue will increase. While you certainly don't want to choose a rating that is too low, you don't necessarily always want to pick a P100 filter for every application - particularly if you're just looking for a simple dust mask to do home improvement work. Typically, an end user will find an N95 respirator cooler, and easier to breath through than a P99 or P95 dust mask. Respirator Rating Letter Class N - Not oil resistant R - Resistant to oil P - Oil Proof Respirator Rating Number Class 95 - Removes 95% of all particles that are at least 0.3 microns in diameter 99 - Removes 99% of particles that are at least 0.3 microns in diameter 100 - Removes 99.97% of all particles that are 0.3 microns in diameter or larger. Answer:	I did not really find any differences in the 'sizes'. I thought I bought 2 sizes, a Med for me, and a Small for my wife. But after using them both, I have yet to find out which is the smaller one. In reality, you must buy it and try it out. If you try it out, just remember to minimize any stubble around the mask / face interface. Also test the seal on the mask... meaning plug the side filter holes (with them off) and inhale. If the mask sticks to your face, you are good to go. If not, they the face / mask seal is bad. Sweat or Vaseline can help make that seal better. After all, that seal provides the filtration benefits you are purchasing the mask for.

Answer:	I’ve been using this mask and the pink bulbs for the protests. Works great for me. I’m one of the guys that defuse them or throws them back depending where it’s happening. The face cover has amazing peripherals and doesn’t fog much. Just breathe out and than put it on so you’ll have less fog in the visor. But be careful because police will assume you’re an organizer. Happened to me.

Answer:	The correct input is -no. Having said that... If a MacGyver situation arose... It could be yes, depending on the eyeglasses... I'm sitting here with this exact mask and wearing it , sealed correctly, with glasses on. While it is indeed tricky/ difficult to get the mask on... once on... it seals correctly. More luck than anything else. Seems to depend mostly on the eyeglasses.. They need to be minimal, lay fairly flatly across the face and have a frame that can flex without breaking... Again.. best answer -no.

Answer:	Actually, the other answers are not entirely correct. Airborne transmission of the ebola virus is possible. Although it is usually passed, as was stated by the others, via bodily fluids such as saliva and blood, if an infected person sneezes, the infected particles are spewed into the air and can, and HAVE, infected someone nearby who inhaled the airborne particles. However, this has been shown to be rare and infection generally is by way of direct contact. As for this being any protection, you'd have to use the correct filters and/or other apparatus. Viruses are extremely small, even compared to bacteria. In order to prevent them from passing through the filter, you'd need one specifically designed for that purpose. Offhand I'm not sure any of those listed are suitable. To be absolutely sure, I'd check with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and ask their advice. That's only if you're absolutely set on subjecting yourself to exposure to this deadly, and rather nasty viral contagion. Of course, just traveling to an area known to have had cases of ebola would require numerous permits and safety measures taken ahead of time. Personally, unless you know a whole lot more about it, I'd steer clear. Ignorance about ebola and its infective capabilities will only make you an easy target. I've got bachelor's degrees in biochemistry and biology and I wouldn't go within 500 miles of an infected area. Why would you? And if you live in the United States, there's no need for protection as there are no present cases here and those traveling into America are checked for signs of illness from infectious diseases before being allowed on the plane, and again before getting off. Next, cover the bottom exhaust filter with your opposite hand. 3.) Exhale hard into the mask - this will properly seal behind the filters. 4.) Remove the filter you are wanting to remove (while keeping your opposite hand over the exhaust valve. 5.) Do not breath in until you have replaced the filter with a new cartridge.

Place the respirator over the mouth and nose, with bottom straps unfastened. Place the top strap over your head, placing the head cradle on the crown of your head.

Grasp the straps, place them at the back of the neck and hook them together.

Answer:	The NFPA could not certify this because it's not a supplied air unit. That is why firefighters use SCBAs. It would be dangerous to trust your life to this in an oxygen deprived environment... Such as near a fire. My team and I use these to protect ourselves while cleaning up mold, water, and fire damage... After the fire is put out.

Fully loosen all six head straps. Hold the front of the facepiece with one hand and the straps/comfort cradle away from the facepiece with the other hand, creating an opening for the head. Question:	I see some warning this is not genuine. how to determine? its s&s amazon
Answer:	This product is sold directly from Kimberly-Clark to Amazon. As you can see the “ships from” and “sold by” are both Amazon. Through the years, Kimberly-Clark has developed and sold numerous NIOSH-Approved products. As you will see in the comments, some individuals believe that this product is ingenuine or a knock-off of a pre-existing Kimberly-Clark product. This is not accurate. This is new product that was created in 2020 and has been approved by NIOSH (TC# 84A-9042). Every respirator will come in a bag of 50 with a Directions for Application insert. Also, every N95 has printing on the bottom of the respirator. If you are still in doubt, please contact Kimberly-Clark Professional via the phone number, email address or website that is listed on the front of the bag.
Question:	how many layers do these masks have
Answer:	I took this mask apart and it has 4 layers to it. I also called the company to ask why it is listed as n95 but is not intended for medical use. I was told it meets requirements for n95 but has not been tested for medical use but rather to filter out particulates, contaminates, etc. Also, It has not been tested for Covid 19. However, with that being said, I find it to be a great mask. It has 4 layers, fits well for a better seal than other masks I have bought. As I mentioned, when taken apart I found 4 layers.
Question:	are they individually packaged
Answer:	No – these respirators come 50 respirators per bag. They are not individually wrapped.
Question:	Why aren’t these masks for medical use—what do they lack
Answer:	It may be helpful to understand the difference between surgical and non-surgical respirators: • Surgical N95 respirators are both 1) approved by NIOSH as an N95 respirator and 2) also cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a surgical mask. These are classified as medical devices by the FDA and are designed to be worn by healthcare professionals during medical procedures. • Non-surgical N95 respirators are approved by NIOSH only. They are not approved by the FDA and are not classified as medical devices. Both surgical N95 respirators and the Kimtech non-surgical N95 respirator meet minimum filtration requirements. Surgical N95 respirators have additional required features such as fluid protection resistance for splashes and sprays. While these added features are important in healthcare settings, they are not necessary in the industrial and scientific segments served by Kimberly-Clark. Our NIOSH-approved non-surgical Kimtech N95 pouch-style respirator has been specifically designed for non-medical use. It has not been cleared by the FDA as a medical device. It is therefore not for medical use.
