Auto darkening filter's operation instruction

1. SEN：Sensitivity setting button，press the corresponding position, the digital number will change from 1~6 circularly.

2. DELAY：Delay time setting button, press the corresponding position, the digital number will change from 1~10 circularly, the delay time will increase according to 0.1s.

3. SHADE：Shade Control setting button, when in “WELD” mode, press the corresponding position, the digital number will change from 9~13 circularly. When in “CUT” mode, press the corresponding position, the digital number will change from 5~9 circularly. When in “GRIND” mode, the digital number is 4, the number will not change when you press it.

4. MODE：Mode button, when you press it, the function will change between “WELD”,“CUT” and “GRIND”.

Answer:	Richard, My short answer is "yes". The MM910 sanding pad uses diamond dust for its surface; therefore, the expensive price. It is designed for "grinding" cement, plaster or mortar. Your situation might call for conventional sanding pads (MM70W or MM70P) The MM910 attaches to the Multi-Max tool through a MM14 hook and loop pad (think Velcro). Some companies make after-market accessories that retrofit to other brands so you have another avenue to find cheaper accessories. As an example, some company in China might make a universal accessory that fits Rockwell, Dremel or Porter-Cable because they all use the same layout for attachment. Regards, JLC

Answer:	I think it is. Mine does the exact same thing. I look at it this way: it does not matter; the only adjustments that effect MIG welding are voltage and speed (and burnback on yours). I really don't pay much attention to the display, and find my settings by experimentation on similar work pieces. I suppose the current display can give you a rough starting point for settings for a given metal thickness. I think I'll start tracking that and see.
Question:	What size cheater/magnifying lens does this helmet require
Answer:	I bought this welder not even a month ago and the one I was sent does work on 110v or 220v. even comes with an adapter to plug the normal 3 prong 110v into my dryer's 220v outlet. It works wonderfully on either power source I have used both.

Answer:	I'd start with 10 and see how it works. I use setting 9 because I have a cheater lense and it seems to reduce the available light.

Answer:	Yes...they are called cheater lenses and they are available at most welding stores. You slide them under notches on the inside of the helmet. I use them with this helmet.

Answer:	Usually you use shade 6 for oxy-acetalene welding and cutting. The helmet says it can darken in that range, so I would say, yes you can use it for that. However I would just get some goggles that are made for oxy-acetalene welding.

The term used to describe this feature is Optical Clarity. It's judged on four different metrics: Accuracy of Vision (Optical Class), Diffusion of Light (Light Scatter), Consistent Shade (Homogeneity) and Angular Dependence. The best rating for each of these metrics is a 1, the worst rating is a 3. Most manufacturers haven’t achieved the 1/1/1/1 score yet, particularly in the U.S. But TACKLIFE Welding Helmet dId it!

Optical class 1 (accuracy of vision)

This class qualifies how distorted the image is when you are looking at it through a welding helmet lens. Distortion is minimal if you are looking through a 1-rated lens.

Diffusion of light class 1（Actual test grade 0.6）

Angle dependence on luminous transmittance class 1 (0.6)

This category tests for a clear view at an angle.On a lower-rated lens, the shade often darkens when you look through it at an angle. With a 1-rated lens, the shade remains consistent no matter the viewing angle. The last metric, angular dependence, is typically the most difficult to reach a perfect score.
