Answer:	I've used mine mainly for arc welding and might welding. I really like the hood. It's really easy to adjust on the fly. The only issue I've noticed Is that if you get too close to what you're welding, as in geest ting close to see better, it has a tendency to flash off and on which obviously isn't good. As long as you keep the proper distance it's a wonderful hood.

As a rule of thumb, start with a shade that is too dark to see the weld zone. Then, go to a lighter shade which gives a sufficient view of the weld zone without going below the minimum. Shade 14 is great to start especially for young people who have more sensitive eyes.

• Grinding Mode: Set the switch to Grind, the lens will stay on shade 3, will not be activated by any arc.

WARNING: Switch "Weld" mode to avoid accidental flashes.

• Shade Adjustment: Press MODE to select GRIND(Shade 3), CUT(Shade 5-8) or WELD(Shade 9-14) , then press "+" or "-" buttons beside "SHADE" to set desired shade numbers.
• Delay Control: Delay is important to protect welder from glow flash hot welding surface. Press "+" or "-" buttons beside "DELAY" to set desired delay time.
• Sensitivity Control: Controls how sensitive the sensors are responding to welding arc. Proper setting can avoid false triggering from adjacent arc while ensures auto darkening when needed. Press "+" or "-" buttons beside "SENSE" to set desired sensitivity. Set to the highest, and decrease if any false triggering exists.
