Answer:	I used it on my cold, dry grill grates as well as right after a little citrus spray. But in either case, I don't recommend this product - I burned through 3 blocks on my first attempted cleaning and still had more than 1/4 grill surface left. I thought they would last much longer but they crumble and turn to dust VERY quickly. They work and I liked the idea, but would need a closet full to last the season.

Answer:	I don't see why you couldn't machine wash these gloves. The gloves are mostly silicone, except for the cuff and the lining which are fabric. I've had these gloves for a month or so. So far, I've been cleaning them by just scrubbing the silicone glove part in the sink, then letting them air dry. After a while when they get really dirty, I'll probably toss them in the washer.

Answer:	The instructions included indicate you should avoid hot liquids. They absolutely will seep through and can cause significant burns. I have another set of gloves of similar design and have been burned using them when hot liquid sloshed up. If you know you'll be dealing with liquids, these are not the best choice.
