Answer:	It is not recommended to use the full foot carpet version on hardwood floors. There is a half sock version for smooth floors which have excellent reviews. These are easily adjustable. Answer:	I am sure they will go over ballet shoes because I wear mine over sneakers and a pair of sandals while dancing. We do ballroom and I can’t dance without them. But dancing on a mat I am not sure of, especially if it’s a rubber mat don’t know. They worked great on the wooded floor or cement floor in a gym. Hope this helps. They take a little bit of stretching the first few times you wear them, but they certainly fit over larger shoes. We wanted to be sure of that, as I'm personally a women's size 9 1/2.

Answer:	They certainly will. We wanted to be 110% sure before answering so we just drove to an athletic store and tried them on a handful of men’s size 15 running shoes. They fit! Happy to send you those photos if you email us. We recommend stretching your dance socks with your hands a bit to start to ensure they’re ready for their first few uses. It was our goal to ensure everyone was included when we created these socks. As background, we developed our standard for stretch by testing them on each of our team member’s thighs. You read that correctly—thighs. Quite a sight to have everyone in the office wearing the socks as makeshift garters, but we think the end product totally justifies our funny tests 😉.

Answer:	My child is a size 1-2 and 9 years old. I originally ordered a large but returned them for an xl because although they fit there was no room for growth. My daughter wears these to dance competitions as well as between classes and often wears her shoes inside them. The large didn't allow enough room for that. My suggestion would a large or extra large for you.
