Answer:	It is divided into two states: open and closed. It has two different colors divided into purple light and red light. Violet light can detect whether there is cat moss by illuminating the cat. After a successful connection, you can place the sensors and start to monitor water leakage on your App. Note: Please ensure the App and your phone settings are set to allow "push" notifications. The gateway will not send push notifications if the leak happens again in 90 seconds.

Question:	Is there any monthly or yearly fee to connect to a service
Answer:	It is hard to silence the alarm unless you make a minor modification in advance. Don't wait until the 130 dB siren is going before you work out how to disable the alarm. I've had it blaring in my ears while I frantically try to open the case to disconnect the battery, only to find that opening it is very difficult, even with the aid of a tool such as a flat-head screwdriver. What I've done since is filed down the locking tabs slightly, just enough that the plastic case still locks but is much easier to open when the alarm sounds, so that the battery can be disconnected. Then you can address the water leak in relative peace.
Question:	I don't see any rope sensors which is bad for covering areas like washers, fridge, and water heaters. Any rope solutions I'm unaware of with this
Answer:	The wire has no gauge markings- printed or imprinted. Comparing the wire side by side with a wire stripper, appears to be 18 gauge and it is definitely stranded copper. It is most assuredly no larger than 18 gauge so I would lean towards 18 to 20. I don’t know your application as to why you would need to extend the original length but I can tell you that the device is really loud when activated - if that helps you any.

Answer:	I found the DX300s does have a non replaceable battery it is sealed within the lens housing that is factory sealed by some type of glue or heat sealing. very difficult to open without some damage to lens unit. My own investigation indicates the battery will last about 5 years maybe longer and the battery is soldered welded onto the circuit board. the helmet seems to not have an off switch nor does it have a test function to indicate if lens darkens. the helmet itself is very nice but the method the lens operates makes me nervous without wearing a light shade pair of welders glasses under the helmet just in case it fails to function. I will be sending it out to be tested for accuracy and safety

The Leak Alert WiFi provides a loud audio alert to homeowners, renters, business owners, and property managers alike. Be alerted to water leaks as soon as one is detected.

No Wires. No Hassle.

The Leak Alert has two external metal sensing contacts running a mild electrical current. When both strips get wet, through a plumbing leak, flood, or surrounding moisture condensing on the surface, the electrical circuit will complete, and the alarm will sound.

The Leak Alert detector is not a one-time use device. Each time the sensing contacts make contact with moisture and the alarm sounds, simply dry the contacts. Return the detector to its location or choose a new location as needed.

All that is needed to operate the tool is a fresh 9V alkaline battery with an extended expiration date.

1. Install the Battery

Install a new 9V alkaline battery in your Leak Alert. Just like your smoke detectors, the battery in a Leak Alert should be changed on an annual basis at minimum. For additional security, the unit will chirp if the battery is running low and will float in the event of a flood.

2. Placement

Place a Leak Alert in any location where there is a potential for water damage and flooding such as in the:

- Bathroom

- Kitchen

- Basement

3. Respond to Alarm

Lay the Leak Alert flat with the metal contacts facing down and touching the surface. When the Leak Alert's metal sensing contacts come into contact with water, a loud 90 dB alarm sounds for up to 72 hours. The alarm is as loud as your standard smoke detector. In the event of a severe flood, the Leak Alert floats and continues to sound an alarm until the battery is depleted. To minimize property damage, respond to the alarm as quickly as possible.

Answer:	There are 3 ways to connect the extension cable to YoLink Leak Sensor. 1. Soldering with a soldering iron: (1) Use a soldering iron to solder 2 common wires (regardless of positive or negative) to a set of probes on the Leak Sensor (a set of probes on the top of the leak sensor is recommended) (2) Fix the leak sensor in one place (If you use double-sided tape to paste the bottom of the leak sensor to the wall, the thickness of the double-sided tape must be higher than the height of the footpad on the bottom of the leak sensor (>1.5mm), otherwise, the leak sensor may not stick firmly ) (3) Place the 2 wires in the area to be detected. The 2 wires must be separated and fixed with a certain distance (10~15mm) But please kindly note: If you use a soldering iron to solder the wire, it may damage the two probes of the original device, which may cause the probes to rust in a humid environment. 2. Use glue or tape to fix (1) Use glue or tape to stick 2 ordinary wires (regardless of positive or negative) to a set of probes on the leak sensor (a set of probes on the top of the leak sensor is recommended) a. Stick the wire to the end of the probe and roll it into a circle or ring to expand the contact area & assist in fixing; b. It is recommended to use glue/tape with high viscosity, which must be firmly adhered to! Answer:	Nathan, Thanks for the question. The Moisture Range on this Hand Held meter for CORN is 10 - 40%. However, the clear plastic funnel which is provided to assist with consistent filling of the test cell, will not work well on corn over say 25 - 30%. This is due to the lack of flowability in the higher moisture content. I would suggest that you still fill the funnel, but pour the sample back out the large end at just 1 - 2" above the test cell. EVERY TIME and at the same Rate. With this consistency, you would have much greater repeatability between different tests. Answer:	Not on the standard instrument, but YES, Long Grain and Medium Grain Rough Rice have recently been added to the available Calibration list. Answer:	Like all Ring devices, this is not compatible with Homekit out of the box. However, you can connect it to Homekit using Homebridge running off a computer or Raspberry Pi. See homebridge.io for more detail on that. Ring also promised in June 2016 that they will bring Homekit compatibility to their devices, but 4 years later and it's still not there. So Homebridge is the best option for now.
Question:	What is the maximum range distance for the gateway and sensor
Answer:	No, at this time, you cannot change any of the settings such as temperature set point. The sensor is set from the factory to alert when the temp drops below 40 degrees F. It does not give any alerts for higher temperatures at all. Of course it also sends alerts when the sensors on the underside sense water.
Question:	Can the audible alarm be silenced from the iphone app
Answer:	No, this is not compatible with the ring doorbell.
Question:	Can this be used to detect a tub that has overflowed
Answer:	Two alarms in one unit, it is made to sit on the floor. There are metal contactacts on the bottom to pick up a leak on the floor or flood and also a temperature alarm when it is less than 40F. I have mine on the floor by my sump pump crock. If it is less than 40, you get a warning before it gets cold enough to freeze a pipe.
