Question:	Anybody know of a good replacement battery? I tried Energizer AND Duracell A23s for my sensors and get occasional signals only on closest sensors
Answer:	I've always recommended Energizer batteries and have never had complaints. It is possible the batteries you purchased were "old" depending on how long they sat on the store shelf OR they are defective/bad batteries. I called Skylink to get their opinion and they said Energizer...
Question:	is there a way to have a silent alarm but still have it call
Answer:	The system has two parts 1) The phone dialer unit 2) The main control unit which has an audible alarm. The alarm is very loud and is made that way to deter someone breaking in by scaring them off and is usually very effective in that mode. The audible alarm inside the main control unit can have one of the two wires cut to make it a silent alarm. I hope that answers your question.
Question:	What if the robber immediately smash the control panel while the alarm is sounding off ? The whole system is disabled at that point, correct
Answer:	yes, and here's how i mitigate that possibility: I first put the control panel in a locking metal box, in a location not easy to get to. Drilled a hole in the box so the antenna can pop out the top and send/receive signals and power cords could go in . Second, I added the extra wireless sirens. Once the sirens go off, smashing the control panel won't stop the external wireless sirens. Two of them in fact on opposite sides of the house, outside under window awnings so they can be heard from the street or by neighbors. So, to completely shut off all noise, the bad guy would have to find 2 sirens, smash them, then hunt around the house for the control panel, break into the metal housing and finally smash that. That would take a good 5 minutes at least of blaring alarms going off. Extra sirens are only $35 a pop. Hell you could add 4 of them if you wanted to wake up the whole neighborhood.

Security System. The difference between model SC-100 and model SC-100W is that the “W” version is white while the SC-100 is off white. If there are any troubleshooting issues with this system, it is recommended to reset the system completely and reprogram the sensors again. To re-program the sensors to the main control panel, please follow the below steps for each sensor and remote: Program the door/window sensor (WT-433) to zone 1. 1. Enter your MPIN. 2. Press [B]. 3. Press the number key to identify current zone [1]. 4. Then press [*] and now it has 30 seconds for you to program the sensor into SC-001. Answer:	I live in the tropic temperature at 65 to 96 and it work fine.

Answer:	The chime is most certainly loud enough to be heard in multiple rooms. I'd say roughly 80bB if the siren rings at 110dB (just a guess-timate at best). It is a two tone chime in the ding-dong pattern where the first tone is a slightly higher frequency than the last. It is a low doorbell type tone, not a high pitched whine. Unobtrusive yet easy to hear for all ages. The siren is a louder higher pitched police car wail. I will try to record audio of the tones and post a link to them tonight. I will post the link as a response here.Just to note, unless you reprogram the zones, the chime will ring anytime you walk in front of the motion detector, which was annoying to me as I placed that in my living room. If it is in an entrance hallway, I would not worry about it.
Question:	what is the operational temperature range of the devices
Answer:	There are two battery systems for the unit. The solar rechargeable battery needs sunlight. The backup alkaline batteries do not need sunlight. If you mount the unit in the shade, then the backup batteries will power the unit for 2 to 3 months until they need to be replaced (which is a chore).

If I remember correctly, when you first set up a hub, there is an "learn" button to click in the app. When you set up and initialize each sensor, there is a "learn" button to click in the app. This learn option doesn't appear in the app until you are in the process of setting up the hub or a sensor.

Answer:	Using the smart life app, you can schedule countdown timers & time and days of the week. The wifi plug does’t detect light of dusk or dawn. These are times that you would coordinate.

Answer:	I have a door sensor in my storage in my backyard, that's about 60-70ft, and that works without any problem. I get instant notification on my phone when that door is open.
Question:	Does this system work with the old sc-100 door and window sensors
Answer:	Yes! But not through the SkyLinkNet app. You must first set up the SkyLinkNet security system. Then you must install the IFTTT (If This Then That) app. This app allows you to set an event to trigger another event. I was able to use it to set my security system to auto-arm itself at a certain time at night and then disarm itself again in the morning. This way you won't forget to arm it before going to bed and forget to disarm it before the first person leaves in the morning. I was also able to use IFTTT to turn my kitchen lights (which are connected to a smart WeMo lightswitch) to come on if the security system is triggered at night. It's a fairly self explanatory process but you will need to download the IFTTT app and create an account with them. It's free though. They are a trusted company and have been around for a long time and their app is used frequently in the home automation community. Good luck!
Question:	how far does the interior motion sensor reach
Answer:	SkylinkNet HUB HU-100 no power, not going online. It happened to me as well. The LED would be always blinking red. Not going online, of course. The reset procedure would not help. In the end, rhe problem was the power adapter. These things are prone to failure quite often. I changed it with a universal 300mA AC/DC power adapter, selected 6V output and everything is all good now. Customer service was very responsive, they sent me the same resetting procedure, but I had to figure the issue on my own. I hope this helps.

Answer:	The alert is a beep similar to a cell phone's. Assuming normal hearing, it can be heard throughout an average house. The alarm is a loud screech and can be heard throughout an average neighborhood.
Question:	How is the system turned on or activated ? For instance, If I only want to use the system at night time, how can I deactivate it during the day ? Would un-plugging the base system every time remove the settings
Answer:	I have the Garage Door sensor - bought 2013. It uses a 2032 coin battery. Haven't had any issues and really like the system. Much, much better than the garbage that I tired before.
Question:	Is the alert chime in the audio range of a ringing phone tone or a door chime? I can't hear the high frequency squeaks of many alarms
Answer:	No this product communicates at 433 MHz and the SK-150 communicates at 318MHz. They will never meet up. We don't have a vibration sensor with the Skylinknet series

Answer:	You can turn the receiver alarm to OFF and the chime will not sound. The red light will continue to flash indicating that the door is open.

Answer:	The reason I purchased this unit was because I have a huge problem with deer wanting to eat all my flowers. I mounted the receiver right outside my front door so that when the deer set of the motion sensors it would clearly be heard by the deer. The alarm is quite loud and it wakes me up and some deer are scared of by the alarm and some are too used to people and the alarm will not scare them away. When it does go off though it is plenty loud enough to wake me up and I go outside and either grab my pellet gun or sling shot to chase the stubborn ones off. Keep this in mind as to where you will be positioning your receiver.
Question:	Can each zone be programmed with a different alert selection? For example, zone 1 = no sound, lights only ... zone 2 = chime, zone 3 = siren
Answer:	Un-plugging the Receiver does not reset the Alert Unit Codes. On the side of the Receiver there is a switch with three (3) positions: Top - Off, Middle - Alert, Bottom - Alarm.There is no on/off switch on the individual Alert Units.I've not turned the Receivers off in the year that I've owned them. When they alert me during the day, they reassure me that I my property is monitored. They are doing the job I installed them to do. Why would I disarm them? That is like telling a Guard that he can sleep on duty. And what if I forget to turn them back on?I used to check that the doors were locked before I went to bed. After an ex-GF once entered my house during the day, it scared the hell out of me. I lock my door behind me, each time I enter the house.Criminals do not have a time schedule and many crimes and home-invasions are committed during the day time. Answer:	Haven't measure exactly, but know it is greater than 45 and less than 180. !20 seems to be about right.

Answer:	The receiver for the motion sensor has 4 sectors which can be set up with up to 4 sensors per sector. Each sector will beep 1-4 times depending on which sector has motion detected in it. It will beep 4 times per sector alarm and then silence for 30 seconds. If the person or thing moves within the 'sight' of the motion sensor again, the alarm will beep the appropriate number of times again. It resets and rearms after 30 seconds of no* motion. So yes, it will shut off and stay off unless there is more motion. More motion after 30 seconds and rearming will set it off again. I will add that the range on the sensor is a lot greater than they advertise. I use them around a large field/garden on my farm to alert me of deer eating my crops. They really work. I had an issue with two of my sensors getting moisture inside the sight eye. The mfg did replace them but they said my sensors need to be covered(i.e. a little roof of some sort over them). I had small metal covers over them.......Again they did warranty them. And Amazon was going to honor their Amazon Guarantee also. So, I have purchased additional sensors for my farm. The longest distance I have a sensor from a base/receiver unit is 110 yards and it works fine.I was impressed by the company Skylink and their customer service lady and also by Amazon!

Answer:	You need the control panel..be aware that whatever you plug into it (light,radio,ect) will only go on and off for maybe 15 seconds or so,it should have been made to go at least as long as the Skylink alarms sound,3 minutes.
Question:	does the alarm shut off when the person leaves the area
Answer:	The sensors are wireless and battery operated, but the "receiving unit" with audible and visual alarm indicators is wireless but not battery operated, it needs an outlet to be plugged in.

Question:	Will this work with the HU100 system
Answer:	Base unit has 4 lights, the sensor that is triggered lights to corresponding light on base. Sensor takes a 9 volt battery, base unit plugs into wall outlet. The base will alarm up to 4 sensors. Alarm does have an off switch.
