Answer:	You don't need this sensor to operate a nest thermostat. The best has a temperature sensor built in. It will take the room temperature where the nest is installed and regulates the AC based on that room. Some folks have the need to control an additional space during certain times of the day. Most common would be a bedroom during night time. With the extra sensor you can set up the AC to bring the temperature of the bedroom to a certain temperature regardless what the temperature is in the room the nest thermostat is in. So it's a comfort feature. You can try the next by itself and if you find that you want to change temperature control to your bedroom you can add it later.

Now, if you have just one thermostat and five zones, then it implies that you are monitoring temperature and providing feedback to the thermostat for each zone. To put it simple one nest thermostat, plus sensors will give you the hability to keep one selected room at a temeprature desired. Just select the sensor you want to set as controlling. For more than one thermostat you will need the above set up multiple times. The Nest application is one the most user friendly apps I have ever used.

Answer:	If you remove the front cover, there are buttons for selecting a zone and running it manually. There are LEDs in a circle around the Rachio logo, numbered to match the sprinkler zones as you select your target zone. Once the zone you wish to water is highlighted, simply press the manual run button. Good in an emergency, but this unit's primary use case is using the app or website.

Answer:	The Iro utilizes EEPROM, persistent memory, so the last saved schedule(s) are stored on the device itself. Question:	Is there any monthly or yearly fee to connect to a service
Answer:	It is hard to silence the alarm unless you make a minor modification in advance. Don't wait until the 130 dB siren is going before you work out how to disable the alarm. I've had it blaring in my ears while I frantically try to open the case to disconnect the battery, only to find that opening it is very difficult, even with the aid of a tool such as a flat-head screwdriver. What I've done since is filed down the locking tabs slightly, just enough that the plastic case still locks but is much easier to open when the alarm sounds, so that the battery can be disconnected. Then you can address the water leak in relative peace.
Question:	I don't see any rope sensors which is bad for covering areas like washers, fridge, and water heaters. Any rope solutions I'm unaware of with this
Answer:	The wire has no gauge markings- printed or imprinted. Comparing the wire side by side with a wire stripper, appears to be 18 gauge and it is definitely stranded copper. It is most assuredly no larger than 18 gauge so I would lean towards 18 to 20. I don’t know your application as to why you would need to extend the original length but I can tell you that the device is really loud when activated - if that helps you any.

Question:	How long do these really last in use
Answer:	There are 3 ways to connect the extension cable to YoLink Leak Sensor. 1. Soldering with a soldering iron: (1) Use a soldering iron to solder 2 common wires (regardless of positive or negative) to a set of probes on the Leak Sensor (a set of probes on the top of the leak sensor is recommended) (2) Fix the leak sensor in one place (If you use double-sided tape to paste the bottom of the leak sensor to the wall, the thickness of the double-sided tape must be higher than the height of the footpad on the bottom of the leak sensor (>1.5mm), otherwise, the leak sensor may not stick firmly ) (3) Place the 2 wires in the area to be detected. The 2 wires must be separated and fixed with a certain distance (10~15mm) But please kindly note: If you use a soldering iron to solder the wire, it may damage the two probes of the original device, which may cause the probes to rust in a humid environment. 2. Use glue or tape to fix (1) Use glue or tape to stick 2 ordinary wires (regardless of positive or negative) to a set of probes on the leak sensor (a set of probes on the top of the leak sensor is recommended) a. Stick the wire to the end of the probe and roll it into a circle or ring to expand the contact area & assist in fixing; b. It is recommended to use glue/tape with high viscosity, which must be firmly adhered to! (2) Fix the leak sensor in one place (If you use double-sided tape to paste the bottom of the leak sensor to the wall, the thickness of the double-sided tape must be higher than the height of the footpad on the bottom of the leak sensor (>1.5mm), otherwise, the leak sensor may not stick firmly) (3) Place the 2 wires in the area to be detected. 2: Download ‘Govee Home’ on App Store or Google Play to your cellphone.

3: Open the app and sign up with your email account.

Question:	Can this be setup on alexa as a triggered routine? For example, if sensor is tripped turn off washer machine outlet
Answer:	Like all Ring devices, this is not compatible with Homekit out of the box. However, you can connect it to Homekit using Homebridge running off a computer or Raspberry Pi. See homebridge.io for more detail on that. Ring also promised in June 2016 that they will bring Homekit compatibility to their devices, but 4 years later and it's still not there. So Homebridge is the best option for now.
Question:	What is the maximum range distance for the gateway and sensor
Answer:	No, at this time, you cannot change any of the settings such as temperature set point. The sensor is set from the factory to alert when the temp drops below 40 degrees F. It does not give any alerts for higher temperatures at all. Of course it also sends alerts when the sensors on the underside sense water.
Question:	Can the audible alarm be silenced from the iphone app
Answer:	No, this is not compatible with the ring doorbell.
Question:	Can this be used to detect a tub that has overflowed
Answer:	Two alarms in one unit, it is made to sit on the floor. There are metal contactacts on the bottom to pick up a leak on the floor or flood and also a temperature alarm when it is less than 40F. I have mine on the floor by my sump pump crock. If it is less than 40, you get a warning before it gets cold enough to freeze a pipe.

Open the App, Connect to H5040

Press the pairing button for 3 seconds until the red and blue light flash alternately and then input the WiFi password on your phone. Please note any special characters, blank spaces, and so on.

Connect Your WiFi Gateway

Follow the app prompt to connect your WiFi "Govee_Gateway_xxxx" with your router (doesn't support 5G WiFi). Place the water sensors in the detecting location and name each water alert .eg. basement, kitchen. Then you can begin to monitor the water leakage on your phone!
