Answer:	There are two possible causes. The unit was not zeroed out upon activation or you do have a very low level of gas in your home atmosphere, with the first being my best guess. Unplug and move and re-check the reading. If this does not resolve the issue send it back for a new one. Mine has worked well for 6 months so far.
Question:	Why is the 2 pack more than 2 times the price of the single detector
Answer:	I returned these detectors. They don't have any information printed on the case - no manufacturer name, no instructions, no UL approved indicator, etc. These were made in China which is usually okay but I am not comfortable in relying on them to protect my family. I will be researching further and looking for better detectors that can be trusted.

Question:	When I unplug this device the green light goes off even though the batteries are installed as a backup. Is that normal
Answer:	It's about 5 1/2 in from hinge to hinge ~ 14.5 cm. It does provide full cover. The foam is flush with my face without being uncomfortable. It however is not waterproof. The foam has air slots so it can breathe. I've used these for Chemistry lab as well as wood working, and they work great.

Answer:	The instructions that come with the unit duplicate what I have read from several Fire Department sources: you can place your unit on the ceiling, but AT LEAST 4 inches (10cm) from the wall. If you want to mount it on the wall, mount it MORE THAN 4 inches (10cm) BELOW the ceiling, but NO LOWER than12 inches (30cm) below the ceiling. It has to be high enough up the wall to "smell" the smoke, but that 4 x 4 inch (10cm x 10cm) area where the wall meets the ceiling can sometimes harbor a "dead zone" of still air where the smoke would NOT reach the detector quickly enough during a fire to warn you in time. Thus, do NOT mount your detectors too close to where the wall meets the ceiling.

Answer:	Dear cutomer, excuse that this prodcut Y301 can't detect hydrogen gas, it's mainly sensitive for methane and propane. thank you very much

Answer:	Don't worry, it's normal, the large moisture change can affect the sensor performance, and may lead to false alarm, but the data on display only switch to 1,2 or 3, but won;t trigger the voice and light alarm. Answer:	Hello. Yes, but not the way you mean. When the alarms go off, there is always one alarm going off and setting off all of the others. This alarm will have a green light flashing every second as well as the red light. You have to identify that alarm and either put it in HUSH mode or unplug it and take it down to stop the others. This is intentional so that if you are not leaving the house then you are identifying and investigating where the smoke situation is and if there is danger. The HUSH mode will make the alarm require more smoke to go off and for a small amount of smoke will stop it for about 8 minutes If there is too much smoke, the HUSH mode will not stop the alarm for going off.
Question:	If the alarm goes off, how can you tell whether it's due to CO or fire if there is no voice alert

Question:	What size home would this cover? Do I need more than one in a 1400 sq. ft. space
Answer:	Straight into the wall... two prongs on the back. The rear picture shown on Amazon shows the prongs, but it's a little confusing because the battery door is shown open - when the door is shut, it's out of the way so the unit can mount directly on an an electoral socket.
Question:	Does this alarm work when using an extension cord or must it be plugged directly into a wall outlet
Answer:	The manual for the CO605 plug-in with battery backup says that if the battery is low or missing, it chirps once a minute. I don't have the item myself, so if somebody can confirm that it does chirp if it is plugged in without a battery, I would appreciate it. As to another answer here, if you are hearing 3 chirps per minute, it means the alarm is not functioning properly; it is not because of a low or missing battery, which is supposed to give off only one chirp per minute.
Question:	can it detect levels of 20,30 or 40 ppm of CO? I know alot can only detect 70 ppm of CO or above...but I'm concerned of a small CO leak of below
Answer:	If it is a 9 volt battery, it may not be seated correctly. See the video on the first alert website, and be prepared to do some hard pushing to get the 9V battery to engage. I had 3 9V units, and 2 of the 3 seemingly required excessive pressure to get the batteries to engage. When I first thought I had the batteries installed by just closing the door, the unit chirped until I got the batteries shoved on hard.
Question:	If I plug this directly into the wall does it over both outlets? I have a nightlight in my hall where I want to place this unit
Answer:	CO is slightly lighter than air, but about the same weight as Nitrogen molecules that is 78% of air. It mixes evenly over time. Researchers tested this by injecting CO into a column of air at different heights. All trials mixed evenly but the injection at the top took a little longer to reach equilibrium. Question:	These CO2 detectors have a shelf life, how do we get these with the full life of the unit? Some are already past the exp. date

Answer:	This PL-259 Jumper Cable is usually used for HAM & CB Radio, Antenna Analyzer, Dummy Load, SWR Meter. If it is used for WIFI modem, you need to check if your device has SO239 connector.
Question:	is this good for travel
Answer:	Loss in a co-ax is a function of frequency. Assuming we are talking about the 12” patches. At 1ft of RG58 run 14MHz(20m band) it has a 0.013dB loss, at 440MHz (70cm band) it has 0.08dB loss... which yeah if you add everything up it could be rather substantial. As a patch cable though. If you want to try patching with a LMR400UF, that’s all on you, but you can’t beat the flexibility of RG58 If you’re going to attempt to run say 100ft of RG58 on 70cm yeah... 90% of your power goes to de-icing the feed line. Question:	Does this unit come calibrated or needs to be calibrated
Answer:	Yes the case (with a belt loop) is included.
Question:	Does the device report the uncertainty, meaning does it tell you if its +/-5% vs
Answer:	I think it should be a good use for that, I use it at home with non vented gas fireplace. Running the fireplace for extensive times raises CO level and I could see it with this tool. The reading was still showing under 50 which is considered somewhat safe but can still affect people with weak immune system. I bought this perticular tool because I trust the brand.
Question:	Device says temp range is "0-50c". does this mean it won't properly detect co if the temp is above 50c? (ie in exhaust gas
