| Answer: | I really like the light as it is with the focused beam. It’s clear enough that I’ve made a 100 yard shot on an otherwise completely dark night. At 100 yards plus, it illuminates an area about 15 yards wide. It will also reveal eye shine well beyond that. It’s a very good (for the price) light. The batteries that come with it kinda suck though. I’d invest in better rechargeable batteries like olight. I don’t use the scope mount or pressure switch however, I turn it on and leave it on. |

As far as heating something outside in 0° Wheather goes it should still work but I highly doubt it will work as well as advertised in those harsh conditions. I don’t think it was really meant to be outside unprotected in bad weather. |

| Answer: | Yes, keep in mind that if you use the temperature probe that comes with it that you will want to fasten it directly to the heater somehow to get a more accurate reading. You'll also want a infrared thermometer to dial it in correctly and ensure that you're maintaining a good temperature(checking periodically). I have mine fastened against the bottom of the heat pad with some painters tape. If it's loose under the tank your readings will be inconsistent and way off. Also note that the underside will likely run a little cooler than the topside which is why you'd need the thermometer. |
