7 best fire extinguisher with wall brackets

A fire extinguisher with wall brackets is a critical fire safety device designed to suppress or extinguish small fires before they can spread and cause extensive damage. The wall brackets are mounting devices that secure the fire extinguisher to a wall, making it easily accessible in case of a fire emergency. Here's what you should know about fire extinguishers with wall brackets:

  1. Types of Fire Extinguishers: There are different types of fire extinguishers designed to combat specific types of fires. The most common types include:

    • Class A: Suitable for fires involving ordinary combustibles such as wood, paper, cloth, and trash.
    • Class B: Designed for flammable liquids and gases like gasoline, oil, and propane.
    • Class C: Intended for fires involving electrical equipment and appliances.
    • Class D: Used for fires involving combustible metals like magnesium, titanium, and sodium.
    • Class K: Specifically for fires in commercial kitchens involving cooking oils and fats.
  2. Mounting Brackets: Wall brackets are typically included with fire extinguishers for easy installation. These brackets secure the extinguisher in a visible and easily accessible location, often near exit routes, kitchens, or high-risk areas.

  3. Installation: Mounting a fire extinguisher with wall brackets involves attaching the bracket to a wall using screws and anchors. The extinguisher is then placed in the bracket, ensuring it's securely held in place. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.

  4. Accessibility: It's crucial to place fire extinguishers in locations where they are readily accessible and clearly visible. Ensure that the extinguisher's pressure gauge is in the green zone, indicating that it's fully charged and ready for use.

  5. Maintenance: Regular maintenance of fire extinguishers is essential to ensure their effectiveness. This includes visual inspections, pressure checks, and periodic professional servicing. The maintenance schedule may vary depending on the type and brand of extinguisher.

  6. Training: It's important to ensure that individuals in your home or workplace know how to operate a fire extinguisher safely. Training on proper usage and when to evacuate if a fire becomes uncontrollable is crucial.

  7. Expiration Dates: Fire extinguishers have a limited lifespan, usually around 10-15 years. Check the extinguisher's label for its expiration date and replace it when necessary.

  8. Size and Capacity: Fire extinguishers come in various sizes and capacities. The choice of size depends on the expected fire risks in a specific area. Common sizes include 2.5 lbs, 5 lbs, and 10 lbs.

  9. Fire Safety Regulations: Be aware of local fire safety regulations and codes that may dictate the type and number of fire extinguishers required for your premises. Compliance with these regulations is essential for safety and legal reasons.

  10. Emergency Response: Fire extinguishers are designed for use in the early stages of a fire. In case of a fire, remember the "PASS" acronym: Pull the pin, Aim the nozzle, Squeeze the handle, and Sweep from side to side.

Fire extinguishers with wall brackets are essential tools for fire prevention and safety.Proper installation, regular maintenance, and training on their usage ensure that they remain effective tools for controlling small fires and minimizing damage in emergency situations.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the shipping $45.67 as shown
Answer: It does have a slight reddish/mahogany tone, but not "red" or overstated color. It's a nice wood finish, not the painted look. (And not that you asked, but the pegs aren't going to hold anything heavy FYI.)
Question: Does it have an expiration date? Is the 6 year warranty from the moment you received the product or when it was made
Answer: Only mounting was required. That was a problem because the studs in our wall would not match up to the top rail with the predrilled holes. I ended up drilling new holes, one in the top rail and the other on the bottom rail vertically below. That worked very well. There was no "assembly" required. But, the standard iron that my wife puts in is a hair too big for the cabinet and she has to wiggle the ironing board to secure it. Other than that, the cabinet works very well.
Question: Is this a 2A:10-BC
Answer: No
Question: Can this be used in car Shop / garage working on cars
Answer: It comes with a cover, I'm not sure what to but to replace it when the time comes, but I love this wall mount ironing board

Question: Twice now, this product has arrived without the screws. i'm not doing another return, so can someone please tell me what size screws i need to use
Answer: Hello Veronica E., I'm not the person you bought these from because I always put screws in with the order but I will try to help you. If your wall is made of sheetrock you need to locate a wooden stud and use a screw about 1 1/2 inches long to install your wall hook. If you can tell me what kind of wall you have I can tell you what you need. Hope This Helps, Dave BigDavesYardSale
Question: What is the width of the hook? I need one that is 1 1/4” or smaller
Answer: Hello, The width of the hook is 1 1/2" wide. Sorry, but it is wider than you need. Thanks for asking, Dave BigDavesYardSale
Question: How does it work
Answer: You just screw it to the wall and hang your fire extinguisher from it, But, make sure your extinguisher can use this type of hanger. There are several. If at the neck you have a hole extending out you are ok. Go to a store and look at other extinguishers for ideas.
