Question:	Could I use it to pump water out of a tub shower door track after taking a shower? Thin enough hose and nozzle
Answer:	In way of an answer, the shower door tracks should have small slots on the inside -- NOT the outside -- edge of the track(s) to allow water to automatically drain out. If there are no slots / holes, they can be added in a few minutes by carefully drilling a dozen or so 1/8 inch holes evenly spaced along inside track in such a way that the bottom of the hole is flush with the bottom of the track. Any craftsman worth his salt can do this in 10-20 minutes for a nominal fee. The holes can be cleaned periodically with a Q-Tip.

Answer:	I have never tried heavy oils such as gear lube, also the head would be to wide to transfer directly from a quart bottle

Answer:	I don't know what the potential max lift is with a longer hose but it can lift the length of the supplied hose extended straight up. It is not a very long hose and would not reach a high gas cap on a 4x4 or something with the gas can on the ground.
Question:	Would this pump remove water from the bottom of my dishwasher to the sink
Answer:	I wonder why your dishwasher doesn't pump water out. If you have a drain on your dishwasher, make sure the return drain hose is higher than the sink drain to break the siphon if your sink fills with water. Also, make sure the sink drain and disposal, if you have one, is clear before you start the dishwasher.

Question:	What's the PSI or max head (pumping vertical height) of this pump
Answer:	Length of hose for a sump pump is not nearly as important as lift. you can have a long horizontal run with only minor flow loss. Friction loss (the loss from hose length) at these low pressures is very small. The elevation (aka lift) is the true limiting factor. (PSI means pounds per square inch, FYI, the water pressure coming into your house from the main is about 50-80psi, someone wondered what psi meant). Based on the chart, this pump moves about 30 gallons per minute (gpm). If you lift ten feet the flow drops to about 20 gpm; at 20 feet of lift it's flowing about 10 gpm. I have used this with vinegar to flush my tankless water heater and I used it with about 50/50 mix of simple green and water in a 5 gallon bucket as a parts washer for motorcycle parts and the pump is fine. I do flush it with clean water when I am done.
Question:	Does it have an automatic shut off
Answer:	The pump does not have an automatic shut off. I added a float switch because I wanted it to pump out a sink that had a slow-running clogged drain where I had the washing machine. When the sink was mostly pumped out the float switch turned off the pump. It worked great for a couple years until I got around to dealing with snaking the drain which didn't have an easy clean-out. This is a good pump, since the sink drain got taken care of, we've been using the pump to pump koi pond water over a 5' fence to our neighbor's garden using about 150' of garden hose. The pump runs continuously for 5+ hours without issues in this process.
Question:	Will clothes washer hoses fit on this pump
Answer:	The pump itself fits a garden hose nicely. You can buy the attachment package listed next to it for the converter piece. It only came to around $8.00. It also comes with a larger hose. I didn't need it for my spa but if you need to empty a washer or bigger pool it seems like it would come in handy. Hope that helps. Good luck. :-)
Question:	Can this be user to flush a tankless heater with vinigar
Answer:	I bought the pump for this very reason. I'm not sure if it is rated to handle vinegar, but at the price I figured I'd try it and see. I have two tankless water heaters, and I wanted a pump that could clean out both at the same time and this pump certainly does the job. I have a hose that runs from the pump, into a splitter. From the splitter I have two hoses going to each water heater (one hose per water heater). Even pushing water through two hoses, it still has a strong flow, with each hose pushing about the same flow as the water hose faucet outside your house opened wide open (guestimate). The splitter I have allows me to adjust the flow rate by closing off some valves if it is too strong. For just one water heater, i would think this pump is too strong (as it REALLY moves water), but I'm not a plumber so I couldn't say for sure. If I were to do it again, I think I would have purchased the 1/4 HP pump, or even the 1/5HP for cleaning out water heaters with vinegar. I cleaned out my water heater this week for the first time using this pump. I let it run for 2 hrs, and I noticed that it got warm (about the temp of a warm-to-hot bath). I'm not sure if that is normal, but thought I'd let you know.

Answer:	Yes it should do the job. I use to transfer kerosene from a 5 gallon can, 1 1/2 gallons takes less than a minute.

Answer:	No it does not. You must switch it off to stop pumping however the flow stops as soon as the switch is turned off. I like the pump. I tossed all my lawn mower/yard equipment gas away and bought one 5 gal can. I put the pump in the large can and can fill a lawnmower gas tank in less than a minute. I'd but this pump again
Question:	how do you clean the pump between different fluids, such as say gas and power steering fluid
Answer:	I use to pump the diesel and gas, I hang it up after each use, by the time I need it again, the liquid is dry.

Answer:	I wouldn't recommend it unless the manufacturer confirms that the pump has an internal pressure relief arrangement. It looks to be a diaphragm type positive displacement pump, similar to an aquarium air pump, working via a solenoid-operated piston moving a diaphragm back and forth. The diaphragm forms part of a chamber, which increases and decreases in size as the piston moves. There would be a non-return valve (probably a spring-assisted ball check valve) on both the chamber inlet and the chamber outlet. The diaphragm pump design allows complete separation of the working machinery from the pumped fluid, and they are generally designed so that the process fluid (water in this case) is not necessary for bearing lubrication or motor cooling. Being a positive displacement pump, it would move the same amount of water regardless of the back pressure it is pumping against. This means that if the pump is running and the hose outlet is closed with a valve on the shower head, the water still has to go somewhere, so the weakest point will fail (leak), e.g. the sealing gasket, the hose, or the pump diaphragm. If the weakest point happened to be the shower head immediately upstream of the valve, shrapnel from the resultant explosion, or being struck by the flailing hose, particularly if fitted with a metal ferrule or fitting, could cause a serious injury.The manufacturer would have assumed that the switch on the pump would be within reach during use, since the hose to the shower head is only 6.5' long. Incorporating a switch on the shower head would add significant cost, utility, and reliability issues to the product. It would require an electrical switch, an electrical cable along the length of the hose, which would be stiffened by the armour required to protect the cable from mechanical damage, and two cable glands (seals): one in the pump housing, and one in the shower head.
Question:	How long is the hose from the pump to the shower handle
Answer:	I think it's about 7 feet, which was perfect for putting the pump part into a water bucket and hanging the showerhead above us in the shower tent. It's simplicity is what makes it so efficient for us.
Question:	How long of a shower can get with (in minutes) from a 5 gallon bucket of water
Answer:	I hope the battery power gets weaker slowing down the run time of 5 gallons. I did several bench tests to see how quickly it drains a quart, starting with a full battery. After several times, it came to an average time of 16.5 seconds per quart. With a 5 gallon bucket at that rate it will only last 330 seconds (5 mins and 30 seconds). I plan to shut it on/off as needed.

Question:	If an upstairs neighbor had a water-pipe breakage, would this type of pump help prevent flooding from the water coming down into my unit
Answer:	Steve: The unit is really designed to pump water out of a small to medium-sized boat. However, it does have an attachment that will screw on to a hose, so it could serve as a temporary fix if you could feed a hose out a window on into a tub.
Question:	Will it work to drain a waterbed
Answer:	Doubtful, though I've never owned a waterbed so I can't say for sure. The intake is the bottom of the unit which needs to be physically submerged in the water (pipe is for discharge only) - so unless you have a big hole on the top of the bed, or a bucket that it's draining into, this likely isn't the tool for you.
Question:	If placed on a flat floor of a dinghy, how much water would not be captured by the pump
Answer:	Hey, J. Baker, Pete Meyer here. I have only used it in row boats with electric trolling motors on them. I have been able to remove all but about a pint by putting it in the stern of both my boat and my fisherman friend's. It is very efficient at getting rid of almost all the water in a corner of a boat where one can put most of the weight in that same corner to make it the lowest part of the floor. My friend took the pump to her house today as she just pulls her boat up on the shore and we had over an inch of rain. Her boat probably was really full. But she just puts it in and turns it on and gets her gear ready while her boat is bailing. She loves it!
Question:	Is it submersible
Answer:	Yes. I just got my pump today and used to drain some water off a pool cover and it worked great. 3 D batteries are said to last up to 5 hours. I used the little pump for an hour or so and it worked great. Be sure to turn on when in the water. If can't then turn on then drop into the water quickly so pump primes. I bought a 10-foot extension hose also so I could use the pump in more places where a longer drainage hose is needed. I am also going to try in one place on my driveway that collects a couple of inches of rain to see how the pump does. Note: we will be resurfacing our driveway come Summer but in the meantime, some uneven areas collect a little water.

Answer:	I believe it will. As long as it’s not too thick. Gear oil might be hard for it pump a long distance. I used mine several times last week to pump water 25 ft to my trailer and it did a great job.

Answer:	Yes it would work great for that. The suction hose should not be more that 8 to 10 feet long. I use to it to pump water into my tralier while living off the grid. It works great. Not fast but steady.

Answer:	You can probably use it for watering plants. However, I would not recommend using it for drinking water as it might have some chemical residue that could be harmful and/or give the drinking water a bad taste.

Answer:	No that is not recommend. In fact The instructions indicates this pump is not powerful enough to lift fuel with a discharge tube raised over 15 in from the suction tube end. Work a lot better if you keep the gas can level with the gas tank... You can place the can on a chair or something to raise it up. It will last longer and work much better. I hope this helps.
Question:	does it pump from a vehicle to can
Answer:	No unfortunately the pump is too large to fit into the gas opening otherwise it has plenty of power to transfer the fuel.

Answer:	I don't see why not unless you plan to use it again for any other liquids especially clean water. Oh, but if the oil has a high level of viscosity then I wouldn't count on it serving you well.
Question:	I attached this pump (brand new) to two different drills but the drill won't turn, it's as if the internals of the pump are locked. What should I do
Answer:	The reviews for this pump have varied from positive to negative, Mine is positive. First look for the directional arrows on the pump body, on mine they are on the outer flange of the black housing and indicate rotation in a clockwise direction. The pump must be operated in that direction. Next Id recommend screwing the pump to a piece of 2X4 or a piece of 3/4" plywood because the reaction to turning the pump can make the whole unit try to spin. This makes everything safer. Finally make sure the drill youre using has enough torque to handle the pump. The Dewalt cordless I first used would turn the pump but did not pump very fast. Jumping up to a Dewalt 1/2" commercial type drill tripled the pumping rate. It may help also to spray/squirt some water into the intake and discharge opening to "prelube" the vanes. If these steps fail then you need to follow the appropriate return procedures. I hope this is of some help. Rogn
Question:	I will be pumping water from a crawl space with a 3 foot lift and about a 15 foot hose. Would this pump be able to handle this
Answer:	Almost certainly.It depends where you put the pump and how strong the hose is. You see you never really pull water, you simply create room for other force to push. Also if the hose is weak it will collapse under the pressure permitted by creating a vacuum inside. Run it till the hose is full of water and now take the drill pump end somewhere lower than the body of water and then detach the drill pump. Bingo siphon started.But if you've got a fairly decent hose, and a reliable strong drill, this should be enough, but your mileage may vary and the weak point may not be the pump.
Question:	Can this pump concrete
Answer:	Once you get a good slime like substance thru it, it pumps about 100yds and hour, highly recommend for pumping full trucks of concrete. Make sure you get at least 2% calcium and hot water even if it’s 90 outside. Also since it pumps so fast, make sure you have at least 50yds on site waiting on you.

Answer:	It looks like they have a newer version coming out. The orange one is what I have and was the only version available when I ordered it this summer. The red one has an updated battery and comes with a carrying bag. I’m guessing that they both have the same color because the red one is so new that they don’t have a photo yet.

Answer:	The connection of the hose tube to the shower head leaks, The reason may be that you didn't put the O-ring in the connection of the hose, which prevents leaks when you put it in the connection of the hose.
Question:	what is the PSI of this system at 0-2M head height
Answer:	It says 3.5L/minute. It’s not a powerhouse but it’s a helpful water spray for hand or hair washing when you’re in the boondocks. You would probably be drawing from a bucket or a stream/lake.
Question:	What's the average time to charge the batteries
Answer:	Takes mine @ an hour to recharge. But they don't last very long. Mine quit taking a charge after 6 or 7 times. When this is new, it kicks ass. But after about 25 -30 uses it clogs up and the batteries just turn to junk. We did a two week camping/beach trip and this was damn near useless by the time we got back.

Answer:	If the solution is not too thick. Needs to be very liquid. Works well for spraying herbicide.
Question:	on this scotts 190567 do you have to hold a button to spray continually or does it do it automatically
Answer:	You push a button to turn the electric pump on, and it keeps running as necessary to maintain proper spraying pressure. However, it only sprays when you depress the handle on the nozzle wand. If you’re asking if there is a way to keep the spray nozzle “on,” all the time so you don’t have to hold the handle down, I’m not sure. I don’t see a way to lock it on, but that doesn’t mean there’s not something I missed.
Question:	Is the battery replaceable
Answer:	Mine quit after a month, tore it apart, has two 18650 batteries soldered in. With patience could be fixed, just cheap junk though...

Answer:	No. It is terrible and I wish I could return it. It is very difficult to change the batteries and seems to go through batteries faster than my other pump.

Answer:	It can move water from here to there, but not with enough pressure to operate a sprinkler

Answer:	The bottom/inlets have to be submerged in water to pump. The batteries will run out before you burn up the motor, it does not seem to need the water for cooling, it is not like you garage disposal.
Question:	Would this work to drop off into the lake and rinse a boat out? We do not have power access on the dock
Answer:	I would not recommend this pump in that application. Although it would provide water from the water source, I would have my doubts about it handling "rinsing a boat". This pump was designed to handle light duty work such as stopped up sinks, draining toilet tanks, etc. Thank You.
