Question:	How do you line up the discharge pipe from the pump with the outlet holes
Answer:	On the bottom of the tank cover there is a "coupling" that you slide over the discharge pipe once it is screwed in to the pump. You can do this and then place the pump into the tank so you know that the discharge pipe is in the correct location. There is also a key and keyway on the tank and cover to help with locations.
Question:	Can the black catch basin sit on top of the basement floor
Answer:	Mine is placed directly on basement floor. The basin is plastic.

Answer:	The Ball valve is not needed, but adds convenience in case one needs to service the unit. The back flow of water that is above can still flow back from the check valve.

Question:	What's the PSI or max head (pumping vertical height) of this pump
Answer:	A quick Google search of "Superior Pump 91250" yields the manufacturers specs. I do not see PSI listed but "Pumps will lift water up to 25' of vertical height" I belive answers your question...there is a chart on the "Performance" tab that shows 30 GPM at 0' lift and 2 GPM at 25' lift...with flow rates every 5' listed.http://superiorpump.com/products/utility/91250.html
Question:	Does it have an automatic shut off
Answer:	The pump does not have an automatic shut off. I added a float switch because I wanted it to pump out a sink that had a slow-running clogged drain where I had the washing machine. When the sink was mostly pumped out the float switch turned off the pump. It worked great for a couple years until I got around to dealing with snaking the drain which didn't have an easy clean-out. This is a good pump, since the sink drain got taken care of, we've been using the pump to pump koi pond water over a 5' fence to our neighbor's garden using about 150' of garden hose. The pump runs continuously for 5+ hours without issues in this process.
Question:	Will clothes washer hoses fit on this pump
Answer:	The pump itself fits a garden hose nicely. You can buy the attachment package listed next to it for the converter piece. It only came to around $8.00. It also comes with a larger hose. I didn't need it for my spa but if you need to empty a washer or bigger pool it seems like it would come in handy. Hope that helps. Good luck. :-)
Question:	Can this be user to flush a tankless heater with vinigar
Answer:	I bought the pump for this very reason. I'm not sure if it is rated to handle vinegar, but at the price I figured I'd try it and see. I have two tankless water heaters, and I wanted a pump that could clean out both at the same time and this pump certainly does the job. I have a hose that runs from the pump, into a splitter. From the splitter I have two hoses going to each water heater (one hose per water heater). Even pushing water through two hoses, it still has a strong flow, with each hose pushing about the same flow as the water hose faucet outside your house opened wide open (guestimate). The splitter I have allows me to adjust the flow rate by closing off some valves if it is too strong. For just one water heater, i would think this pump is too strong (as it REALLY moves water), but I'm not a plumber so I couldn't say for sure. If I were to do it again, I think I would have purchased the 1/4 HP pump, or even the 1/5HP for cleaning out water heaters with vinegar. I cleaned out my water heater this week for the first time using this pump. I let it run for 2 hrs, and I noticed that it got warm (about the temp of a warm-to-hot bath). I'm not sure if that is normal, but thought I'd let you know.

Question:	How high and how far will it pump
Answer:	The specifications state the following pumping rates, in GPH, for the following total lift: 2280 @ 5 ft, 1620 @ 10 ft, 660 @ 15 ft, and no flow at 18 ft I would think distance is not much of an issue in a residential application as the discharge should go up more or less vertically and then drain down per code requirements as with any other drain pipe installation. As a follow up to my install, lift required is about 6 ft and the unit has worked exactly as expected and I would definitely recommend the unit.
Question:	Why does my wet bar pump under the sink does not stop running
Answer:	I think you need a check valve installed. It allows the water to pump out, but prevents backflow back into the basin causing your pump to cycle on and off.

PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) Motor

Discharge

Depending on previously installed pipe to old pump, the 'old' pipe could be used. However, if it is a new install or if you will replace everything, the discharge size on the SAS series is 1-1/2” FNPT. A check valve is needed and is not included with the pump. (sold separately).

The SAS Series Can Be Plugged Dirctly Into a Normal 15A Outlet

The Single Phase 110V SAS series with attached 10' cord is designed to plug directly into a separately fused, grounded line with a minimum capacity of 15 amps. It can be connected to a non-fuse breaker at the recommended amperes. Note that plugging into existing outlets may cause low voltage at motor. This could cause blown fuses, tripping of motor overload or burned out motor. Do not use an extension cord.

Question:	What is a tether switch
Answer:	A tether switch is the float that with a ball inside, when the water level makes the float the ball drops to the bottom of the float it trips the switch and starts the pump, when the water level drops so the float hangs down it trips another switch and shuts off the power to the pump.
Question:	Is there a steel impeller available for this pump
Answer:	I don't think so. The impeller is made of hard plastic. The shell is solid cast iron and heavy.
Question:	Under important information it says bulb voltage: 100. Do I need any connection for that. I am just replacing my non-working pump
Answer:	I'm not sure, but I would guess that they want a minimum of 100 volts while the pump is running. I just replaced my existing pump (which was larger) and plugged it into the existing receptacle. If the size of the pump is the same or smaller there certainly shouldn't be a problem. If you want to do the exercise, connect a voltmeter to a nearby plug on that circuit and observe the voltage while someone turns the pump on and off.

Question:	I will not use a sump pit. Clarification: Does this pump require 3 1/2" of pooling water to trip on and off
Answer:	If you're not using a sump pit, don't use a sump pump. Get something else.
Question:	Do all units have two separate cords for the pump motor and float switch? I just received one, and the pump and float are wired separately
Answer:	They have separate cords however the pump cord has a receptacle you plug the float cord into joining the two. So you only have one plug to plug into your outlet.
Question:	What is the size of the outlet on this pump
Answer:	It is a 1/12inch outlet
Question:	Should I install a check valve with this pump
Answer:	It's a nice to have but not essential. Without a check valve, some water will return to the pool once the pump is stopped, but it doesn't really bother me.

Question:	Will this valve fittings work on a schedule 40 1 1/2 " pipe which has a 2" outer diameter? Thanks
Answer:	Yes. Comes with rubber boots 1" 1/2 to 2" adapter
Question:	Can the Hydro Master be used for sewage
Answer:	I don't see why not. I'm using it horizontally for sump and seems to be working fine. I would think sewage would have bigger pipe than 2" though?
Question:	Would this work for a boat drain valve
Answer:	It’s a check valve and works in a pressurized line, so that when you are done pumping liquid forward and the motor stops you don’t get back flow. We used in sewage ejection and very necessary. I’m not sure about a boat if you are just releasing with no pressure
Question:	I have a 10’ lift from the check valve to the waste pipe. Will this work in that application
