Answer:	I don’t know. But I suggest u look for a different brand. It already failed twice in less than a year and their warranty is a scam. They provide the parts which are pennies and leave out labor.

Answer:	Hold up there, previous answer, not so fast. It is true that you should not have both the hot water heater and furnace venting directly into the flue, combining the exhaust. However, some people see their vent pipes entering the flue (or chimney wall) and assume they are both releasing the fumes inside the chimney. In some cases, the venting pipes continue separately up the flue. Joseph, if you have two vent pipes entering your flue, there is a chance that both pipes continue separately up the flue and out the top. If that is the case, you may be able to use the existing hot water vent system. When you look at the top of your chimney, do you see two terminations coming out?
Question:	How does very cold intake water affect performance
Answer:	Sorry to contradict but the temperature of the water going into the water heater will definitely have an effect on the temperature of the water coming out. the water heater needs to provide enough BTUs to heat the volume of water that you need to the water temperature that you want. If the water starts off at a lower temperature it will take more BTUs to get it to the temperature you want. This unit claims to be able to provide 6.6 gallons of hot water per minute but that assumes the water is startling an average temperature. If you have a modern shower head it will only use about 2.5 GPM but if you have second shower going, a hot water faucet open or a clothes washer filling at the same time you will run out of capacity quickly. Rinnai should have tables on their website that shows the ability of the unit to heat water at a variety of starting temperatures to a range of hot water temperatures at a given flow rate.

Answer:	"So far we really enjoy this heater. In six months of usage we've overcome the slight learning curve. Our way is to set the thermostat at about 108 degrees in the summer, then about 114 in winter. Showers don't need any (or much) cold water added, because adding cold through low-flow showerheads and faucets will restrict the hot, which shuts off the heater.And the LED temperature readout isn't absolute. When you set it to 110 degrees (for example) during the summer, it might run at 90 in the winter. That's because of the colder water coming in. This also explains why I adjust it twice yearly.Lastly, the water needs to be running fully during temperature adjustments."I asked my brother to write his answer because he installed it and adjusted the temperature for me. It is now perfect. Right now I turn the shower handle on full hot, then get in and adjust it a little colder. When I first got it, the temp was set too high and when I got in the shower then and turned it colder, it would get freezing.So he adjusted the temp a couple of times and it is just right now. As he said, he will adjust it twice a year. I just love it!

Question:	Would this work for a $ bedroom 2 bathhouse, and does it come with all the fixings with it or will i have to buy them sepately
Answer:	I have it in a 3 BR 1 bath rental property with 3 people. They take showers one right after the other and said they don't run out of hot water whatsoever. It seems to do wonderful there. its been installed now for 5 months and no problems, tenants are very happy with it. I had to buyer the gas line, plumbing etc to where it tied in, but that's normal with any new installation. It was a tremendous savings over a traditional water heater, and the tenants and I are very glad we installed it. So much so, that I am installing the same one in a diner I own for the dishwasher. Threads were reverse from existing, spent $30 cutting off and replacing burner fitting, and unit still would not work. I was unable to return the unit as it had been fitted on the hot water heater to test it. It may well work for you but be sure that you can return it if it does not.

Answer:	I tested the 16L unit today and here is the result. Given: incoming cold water was 18C, Unit set-point was 60C. The first number is the water flow rate in liters/min. and second number is the maximum temperature achieved in Centigrade. 8 lpm = 60 C, 9= 56, 10=50, 11= 49, 12=47, 13=45, 14=43, 15=43, 16=41. So the unit could achieve the set-point of 60C only at the lower flow rate of 8 liters per minute.

Question:	My house is wired 110V. What additional items do I need to purchase for the conversion
Answer:	Just to expand slightly on prior answers, normally a residential service feed is 240 volts between the two incoming hot legs. There is also a neutral leg, which (hopefully) has zero potential with reference to ground. The voltage between either one of the hot legs and the neutral leg is 120 volts. The 120 volt circuits in your house are connected to one or the other of the two hot legs, and only one. An attempt is made to assign circuits to the two hot legs in a way that will roughly balance the load between them. The other side of a 120 volt circuit is connected to the neutral leg. There is additionally a safety ground run with the circuit, which also ties into the panel. Certain devices require more power (work product of current and voltage) than is practical to deliver using a 120 volt circuit. Common examples are your clothes dryer, and your electric stove. These devices are powered by both hot legs, with a difference in potential of 240 volts. This water heater is also such a device.STRONG BUT FRIENDLY WARNING: If you did not already know this, please don't make wiring this water heater your learning opportunity with electricity. Hire someone who knows how to do it right. Cutting corners, especially with higher currents and voltages, can lead to equipment damage, fire, and electrocution. Question:	what amp breaker is required
Answer:	The National Electrical Code requires conductors and overcurrent protection to be sized at 100% of the manufacturer's branch circuit recommendation for tankless electric water heaters. A 60 amp breaker is the same price as a 40 or 50, it is the wire that costs more. #6 AWG wire is required for a 60 amp circuit. If you undersize the wire it could overheat and catch fire. Protect your family and follow the manufacturer's sizing for this, or any other, electrical device. Your family's lives are worth the extra money. 
