The blue plastic is a flow restrictor for the water going into the bowl. Depending on your water pressure, you may get different fill rates in the tank and the bowl. Excess water in the bowl simply goes down the drain, so you can slow down the bowl refill so that bowl and tank refill at the same time, saving water. |

I did come upon a guy's detailed installation blog with pictures. He drilled a 1 3/4" hole to install (as per Camco instructions). From the pictures, it seems there would be about 1/2" of plate extending on either side of the drilled hole allowing for screws. So, my guess is that the plate is about 2 3/4" to 3" in diameter. I hope this helps!! |
