Answer:	Very simple to use, you can always call for their enthusiastic service team. I don't know how your pipe is, but the drain snake has three styles that should satisfy you.
Question:	Do you have to remove the drain plug (stopper) to use the auger
Answer:	Nope, I was able to jam down without removing plug. (Frankly, I couldn't figure out how to remove plug. It was so stuck with my long hair wrapped around) I was able to shove the snake down multiple times to pull up gunk from both side of the plug until water moved freely clearing my clogged drain. I should say, I only used the orange plastic snake tool.
Question:	What is the diameter of these? I have a pretty small area for the snake to get through
Answer:	I can only use the plastic pieces on my sinks because the metal snakes won’t fit. The small metal snake has a grabber in the end but I can only use it on the shower drain. But they fit my needs perfectly at a great price.

Answer:	Considering what it’s used for, I’d assume the solutions for both would be “Buy a new one.” Same goes for any inquiries about its resale value as well.

That way if you pull and water splashes it will splash on the covering and not on you.

Question:	Does the main body bend
Answer:	No but the fitting you install at the end of the body comes in varing sizes and when you place it in the toilet it can at different angles. I was doubtful about the device at first but the damned thing worked GREAT and cleared a toilet blockage I couldn't get with plungers.
Question:	So my son recently confessed to flush a travel size deodorant. Would this unclog it
Answer:	I mistakenly flushed the blender ball flushing the remainder of my smoothie. Plumber came 3x and never truly unclogged the toilet. But THIS THING WORKED. Pump until it won't anymore (I used my knee as my arms are weak) and pull the trigger. Took about two times but did 3 additional times to ensure the clog moved on further.
Question:	How does this do with a double kitchen sink where the pipes are connected below? And is it safe to use with plastic pipes
Answer:	I don't know about the double kitchen sink, but I DO NOT recommend you use this plunger with plastic or PVC pipes. I made this mistake with my bathroom sink, which had PVC pipes. The pressure was so great, it cracked the pipe at the joint. This device is perfect for metal pipes, though, and it worked great on a clog I had in my kitchen. I hope this helps.

Answer:	I have not used in a bath tub but use on my sinks therefore it should work in the tub. Make sure air plug in tub is covered, if there is one, or gunk will spray out! Good luck!

Question:	Is this manual? Or can I attach a drill at the end
Answer:	It can be used both manually or with a drill. I would not use it with a drill, it will break in short order. The place where the drill attaches is a metal plug surrounded by thin plastic and not sturdy at all. If you need an electric snake you would be better off getting a used Milwaukee unit on ebay, even though they are a little pricey, they will not break the second time you use it. I wouldn't even get this to use manually--the crank handle snaps into the plastic drum via clips and is not permanently attached--very flimsy. Get a sturdier crank model.
Question:	I need a 50 foot cable. Can I detach the 25 foot cable and attach a 50 foot cable
Answer:	Yes, I have installed a 50 ft 1/4" cable in mine. This Ridgid is more robust than most and the auto feed is a nice feature. But, do not leave more than 4-5 inches out from the drain opening while spinning. Go slow and easy when you come to an obstruction.
Question:	Does it have the ability to accept interchangable heads
Answer:	Hi. No you cannot use interchangeable head. The Cable and head are one unit. You can change the complete cable.
Question:	How will I know when the max cable length is reached? Does it stop turning or what
Answer:	I took mine apart to install a longer cable. The cable diameter is increased slightly at the end such that it will not feed out even if the trigger is pulled. Also at the end you will notice a red colored inner core, appears to be thin nylon cord. Lastly the very end is fastened to the inner housing with a screw and washer, plus increased diameter (again) to help prevent slipping out where it is fastened.

Answer:	I don't use a cartridge filter. I use water from a Reverse Osmosis system instead. The ROS is more economical in the long run and it removes the minerals in the water as well so you don't need to descale the hot water dispenser. But you need to take multi-mineral supplement (come with multi-vitamin supplement to compensate mineral lost in drinking water. Consult your doctor for taking any supplement. Check the instruction or contact dealer for how long the cartridge filter last.

Tips:

Press the L Switch

• First press the R / L switch L to R:
• Push the lever forward (F), the flexible shaft extends out in the clockwise direction and starts working.
• When the cable reaches the stoppage, push the lever to the middle(O), the cable rotate in the current position (not forward or backward) to remove the blockage;
• Push the lever backward (R), the flexible shaft takes back to the ratchet in the clockwise direction.

Press the R Switch

• TIP: The R position of the switch is only suggested to be used when the flexible shaft is stuck. Please don't press the switch to the R position in your daily use.
• First press the R / L switch R to L:
• Push the lever backward (R), the flexible shaft extends out in the counterclockwise direction to solve the stuck state.
• Push the lever forward (F), the flexible shaft takes back to the ratchet in the counterclockwise direction to solve the stuck state.

Lever Middle

To Be Your Own Plumber

• Q: When the shaft got stuck or twisted together, what shoud I do?

A: There are three situations of this question, and the proper operation as below:

Situation 1: If the cable is stuck in the pipe, please push the lever to O state(middle), and then press L button to rotate the cable, so as to break the blockage.

Situation 2: If the cable is stuck in the ratchet, and can't be retracted, please push the lever to O state(middle), take out the battery, pull out the cable manually from the machine, and then retraction can be easier. Please don't power out the shaft excessively, otherwise it may get stuck when the shaft reaches the end of the pipe.

Situation 3: If the cable is tangled or twisted together, please press the R switch in which way the cable will rotate in the reverse direction. Then retract the cable slowly. The twist can be solved.

• Q: When I don't use it, can the battery be installed on the machine?

A: No, please remove the battery when you are not using it.

• Q: Can it work for an outside drain?

A: It mainly depends on what kind of pipeline is. As for outdoor usage, it's so efficient for outdoor steel pipe, plastic pipe, rainwater drainage pipe, and underground sewage pipe that with the diameter in the range of 3/4” to 3” pipes(around 19 ~76mm). But hoses, and hardened dirt are not applicable.

• Q:What should I do when the cable doesn't wind back in automatically?

A: If the cable can't be retracted properly, please check the 2 things:

1. Check if the machine head(where the cable comes out) is blocked by the debris from the drain pipes.

2. Check if the cable gets knotted in the drum. If it does, don't hurry to retract. Power the cable out of the drum to untangle the knot. Then retrieve it again.
