Answer:	I don't see why not. As long as you make sure to get all the air out, I would think you could freeze meat in them.

Answer:	I have been using these bags to brine my Thanksgiving turkey for years (I generally have a 17 - 22 lb. bird). These are the only bags recommended by America's Test Kitchen, as they are tested and approved as food-safe. For brining, after preparing the brine solution, I put the bird into the bag with the brine, get the air out of the bag as much as possible, zip the bag shut, twist the top and add a zip-tie for extra protection. I then put the whole bag inside a large garbage bag, and depending on the weather (I live in the Northeast), either put it out on the porch in a cooler (if it's cold enough) or in a large lobster pot (or bottom bin, if there's room) in my refrigerator. I don't re-use the bags once they've been brined. I also use these for "cooler corn" during summer barbecues - put shucked ears of corn into the bag, cover with boiling water, remove excess air and seal. Place in a cooler for 30 minutes, then drain = perfectly cooked ears of corn! A great way to make lots of corn for a crowd, without doing it on the grill or on the stove - I've cooked up to 50 ears of corn at a time using this technique.

Answer:	The bucket is intended to nestle inside the tote but not necessarily fit all the way down. Mine has a lip too but still works with the tote's handles. As far as finding a different bucket, I suggest looking around at hardware stores, bringing the tote with you to try out the fit. But no matter what, the bucket will be taller than the bag.

Answer:	The Housolution Gardening Tote appears to be very well built. Good design and construction. Most of the exterior of the bag is a canvas-looking high-strength nylon. The bottom seems to be an even tighter high-strength nylon weave. So tight that the material does not allow water to penetrate easily. Although my guess is that it is not truly water repellent, I did put a quarter cup of water in the corner and it did not seep through after two minutes or so. The black bottom is not rubberized, but rises 2” on the ends and about 8-10” along the sides. The sides also have larger pockets for tools, etc. As shown in the photo, the bottom is not a one piece pan-type bottom, but appears to stabilize the bag to keep it upright if storage is balanced. I had some of the same questions. I am very pleased with the purchase. Hope that helps!
