Answer:	This has no EMI protection and only offers short protection through a fuse. A surge may make the fuse blow but may damage your device before it does.

Answer:	If by red light you mean the switch portion, NO. Its not a light. At least no where in the documentation that I see does it say so.

Answer:	The outlet is rated to handle up to 10 amps much like a breaker might be rated 30 amps but you wouldn't constantly load the breaker at 30 amps because it would fail and the outlet would fail eventually it loaded to 10 amps.

Answer:	No rods, but so far it continues to stand up by its self, however with much use and time it may eventually give in to gravity. It has a very large carrying capacity. More than an armful.

Question:	Does the remote work on two or more units or just the one it is paired with
Answer:	Solder, for sure.
Question:	Does it have a fine tunning knob
Answer:	In the product's description it states "Safety features: Automatic overload cut-off, over Voltage cut-off, automatic thermal cut-off, short circuit protection." I admit that I have not tested this power supply to confirm that this happens. Though, my educated guess is that it is using a poly-fuse (a.k.a. resettable fuse or PPTC) rather than a conventional fuse. The latter would have to be replaced when it blows which wouldn't be practical in this case as the power supply is sealed.
Question:	Can you turn the laser on and off with the remote control
Answer:	I have one such barrel receptacle like the one pictured here which is actually marked 10A. I MIGHT feel OK with the occasional spike over 10A, but I wouldn't run it continuously above that rating. In general I take such ratings for cheap supplies with a grain of salt anyway - I look at their ratings as a limit to stay well-under. I'm not sure I'd expect this to produce 15A continuous even WITH a properly-rated connector (and that's before we consider ripple current, switching noise, voltage drops, etc.)...

Answer:	No this is not ip rated you would need to protect it from moisture and put it on a ground fault outlet. You can run the DC part outside but I would keep the a.c. And transformer brick indoors. This is actually how I used it as a model train transformer

Answer:	As nice as these items are, I do not believe they are intended for outdoor use. I think you will want to get an equivalent item that is intended for such use. Mixing 110V and potentially very wet environments is never a great idea.
