The foot control is basically a on/off switch, even though you don’t have to use the foot control at all because there is also a on/off control on the base as well. So I guess whatever you’re comfortable with and since I figured out I didn’t need the foot control to use the machine, I haven’t used it since. |

There's not a lot of difference between a Random Orbital Sander and a Dual Action Sander. A DA has a fixed spin direction and a random oscillation. I bought the Random Orbital Sander in question and was pleased with its performance. |

| Answer: | I assume you connected an air to it. If it doesn’t spin when you pull trigger then it’s faulty. Finding the spindle lock hole is tricky as it moves away from the hole. I used a needle nosed pliers to move the spindle until the lock hole appeared. |

Replace sanding pad step one
Find the small hole of the random orbital air sander. If you don't find the hole near the outside, use the PIN to hold the rotating block inside. Rotate it a little to find it, then insert it into the hole with the PIN.

Hold the PIN, do not let the PIN slide, rotate the sanding pad in the direction of the arrow until the disk is removed from the angle track mill

- Please check off all tightening parts of the tools to be in good condition before operation.
- Working pressure to be 6.3 kg/cm3 (90PSI) at operation.
- Please refer to Figure 1 for the tool installation. To install a filter and a lubricator/oiler at an air outlet
- The best hand stress on the tool is from 5Kg to 7Kg when operation.
- Release the air supply when replacing the sandpaper or the backing pad.
- Wear protection glasses, eye protector, dust mask and gloves at operation.
- Have a short break in every 30minutes to avoid any possible injury due to tiredness.
- Do not have free rotating at high speed to avoid possible injury to the human body and possible tool damage.
- Do not touch the rotating part of the tool with your hand or your body at operation.
- Start your sanding job after you fit the sanding pad flat on the surface you are working on. Please refer to Figure 2.
inRoutine maintenance for 2" and 3" random orbital air sander
- Stop your Job when finding any irregular sound or vibration at operation and then check and repair the tool.
- Because you are using clean compressed air at operation. Use an air filter at the air installation to clean the dust out of the compressed air.
- Drop some Oil to the inlet of the tool and then run the tool slowly for a minute and finally start your work...Auto Lubricator/oiler is recommended.
- Any dirt dust inside the motor may result in slow rotation even block running, at this time, try to drop some oil from the inlet, see whether solve the problem or return to the seller for maintenance.
- Do release the water out of the air compressor and air hose after an operation.
- Maintain tools with care. Keep tools clean for better and safe performance, follow instructions for lubricating. Inspect tools cords and air hoses periodically, if damaged, have them repaired by an authorized technician.

| Answer: | You need to know the CFM (cubic foot per minute) rating on your compressor, and what the tool requires tank size and PSI are only a small part of the equation. For example your compressor may say 3 CFM @90PSI or 5 CFM @ 40PSI if the tool requires say 5 CFM at 70 PSI your compressor is to small. As a general rule the compressor should have about twice the rating as the tool requires so that the compressor cycles (turns on and off) and there for won't burn up, the tank size only matters for reserve capacity so if say said tool above needs 5 CFM at 70 PSI the tool could only run for a minute or so before the compressor has to cycle to build up pressure back to the 70 PSI. I sold tools for quite a few years and have used many of them. I saw this and was thinking it was a good price for a great brand but truthfully it is a China made cheapie that only has the name of quality. A good DA sander shouldn't take more then about 5-7 CFM at 40 PSI. |

| Answer: | I would not recommend this sander for sanding a deck. I returned the one i had because this sander uses 6 cfm and my 3 hp Makita compressor produces 6.5 cfm and couldn't keep up with the sander. I would recommend an electric belt sander for sanding a deck. |

The 4151, like most random orbit sanders, features an oscillating sanding pad that also rotates so that the sanding pattern differentiates for even surface wear. Unlike most orbit sanders, though, the 4151 extracts dust and particles through and around the pad when it’s in use, keeping foreign matter away from the motor and helping to reduce the number and severity of clogs. The vacuum sanding pad features a unique design and large 1/2-inch diameter holes for efficient operation--virtually all dust is instantly channeled away from the work, increasing visibility and improving overall quality.
