We wear out at least two of these sanders a year in our shop and we use them to sand wood, plastic, aluminum, and steel daily, and sometimes other types of material as well. If you sand a car this sander would not be suitable for wet finish sanding as it is not sealed for that purpose.

Question:	Can this sander be hooked up to a vaccum using standard attachments
Answer:	Yes it can, I hook mine upto a Rigid Shop Vac. However, because of the size of a shop vac type hose I would suggest going into a smaller hose that you would attach to the larger shop vac hose. For your Information, this sander does have a connector to connect to a dust extraction hose instead of the included dust system. This sander does make a lot of dust so going into an external extraction system is a big help.

Question:	What sandpaper does this use? 5 hole? 8 hole
Answer:	I plan to use this on a fridge - but a smaller fridge that lives in the garage anyway. It should fit, (Kenmore 69319) but if it doesn't, I'll attach a piece of 3/4" plywood to the mover, then set the fridge on the plywood. It won't be moved often, but it does need to move easily on occasion - more than normal fridge wheels can facilitate. I'll have to figure a way to bolt it down to the plywood if I have to go that route.

Answer:	honestly don't remember Laurie- but if you're choosing such a quality sander as this, over a garage sale 'iffy', fer $10bucks?? you're NOT gonna use it Once!! the 5 or 10ish sheets it Comes With??? chances are 'the grit will Not fit your Project!! You can find bxs to buy with 3 varied grits in them ... ones I buy are a hundred per box - if lucky you may find some mini box, I dont know '25 per?' - w/3 varied grits 80/120/220 maybe?? - vague answer... yes-
