Question:	Does this sander come with connection capability for a dust collector system hose
Answer:	Yes, and no.... Check this out at Amazon: Bosch RS014 5" Buffing Pad I believe the sanders that this is listed as fitting are the same diameter hook-and-loop bases as the ROS20VSK just with a different mounting hole pattern of the base to the sander so it should fit, but the reviews of its performance are not great.Maybe there are other buffing pads that would work better.
Question:	I have a Porter Cable pancake compressor. However, would I need another type of hose and fittings, to connect the sander to the compressor, besides that which came with the compressor
Answer:	DAGS on "bosch ros20vsk 220 parts". Lots of responses. The first is ereplacementparts.com which carries it. There are also several others.
Question:	What size air compressor is required to run this sander effeciently
Answer:	I would say that a small amout of "cupping" is normal. As to 1/16 of an inch, I think that is a little much. Most of the sanding takes place on the outer edge of the disc. As it rotates the dust is sucked into the 8 holes in the center of the disc. In order to flatten out the disc, you would have to put more pressure than normal. My experience with this brand of random orbit sander is that the more pressure you put on the sander, the slower the disc turns. You need to have at least a moderate rate of rotation to keep putting new cutting surfaces forward and to get a decent "scrambling" of sanding marks.If your sander is older, you may want to purchase a new disc. They are relatively inexpensive. If the sander is newer you may want to see if the dealer or manufacturer will replace the disc.
Question:	Can the disk pad be replaced with the a velcro pad and where can I get it
Answer:	There is an adapter (part # VAC002) that will adapt the sander to standard vacuum hose sizes (1-1/4" & 1-1/2" hoses).

Answer:	Yes it can. I used the pad purchased here on Amazon. The part is "Astro Pneumatic Tool 4606 6-Inch PU Velcro Backing Pad". Works great.

Answer:	It's because this sander probably needs 6 CFM of air to run it at 90 PSI. That compressor drops to much and can't make it up in time. Your compressor only puts out about 4 CFM at 90 PSI. I have a 33 gallon and it only puts out 4.9 CFM at 90 PSI so it doesn't run this tool properly. So I'm going to have to buy a more expensive sander (CRAP) that only takes about 4 - 4.5 CFM at 90 PSI. Then it will run properly.

Answer:	The 315G is Edge Version of the tool, it's similar but geared more forwards the retail channels. Some have different handle materials and a few internal differences but mainly retail packaged and branded. Answer:	so far, i haven't had to use it with water yet.....i'v been doing this for over 40 yrs., and have found most can be used, but not for extended amount of time (some paper is glued w/water base glue, and some w/solvent glue)..... be quick, and change paper often ... it's still cheaper then buying expensive paper for W/D purposes !

• Please check off all tightening parts of the tools to be in good condition before operation.
• Working pressure to be 6.3 kg/cm3 (90PSI) at operation.
• Please refer to Figure 1 for the tool installation. To install a filter and a lubricator/oiler at an air outlet
• The best hand stress on the tool is from 5Kg to 7Kg when operation.
• Release the air supply when replacing the sandpaper or the backing pad.
• Wear protection glasses, eye protector, dust mask and gloves at operation.
• Have a short break in every 30minutes to avoid any possible injury due to tiredness.
• Do not have free rotating at high speed to avoid possible injury to the human body and possible tool damage.
• Do not touch the rotating part of the tool with your hand or your body at operation.
• Start your sanding job after you fit the sanding pad flat on the surface you are working on. Please refer to Figure 2.

Routine maintenance for 6 inches random orbit air sanders

• Stop your Job when finding any irregular sound or vibration at operation and then check and repair the tool.
• Because you are using clean compressed air at operation. Use an air filter at the air installation to clean the dust out of the compressed air.
• Drop some Oil to the inlet of the tool and then run the tool slowly for a minute and finally start your work...Auto Lubricator/oiler is recommended.
• Any dirt dust inside the motor may result in slow rotation even block running, at this time, try to drop some oil from the inlet, see whether solve the problem or return to the seller for maintenance.
• Do release the water out of the air compressor and air hose after an operation.
• Maintain tools with care. Keep tools clean for better and safe performance, follow instructions for lubricating. Inspect tools cords and air hoses periodically, if damaged, have them repaired by an authorized technician.

Answer:	Is it suitable for wet sanding but is not designed to be fully submerged in water.

Answer:	Ive used up to 400 grit with mine, but you will need the sticky back sandpaper. I got mine at the auto paint store locally. It will work well on wood also. I slow mine if needed using the air control on the side of the handle.

Answer:	The unit is assembled in USA with parts made overseas

Answer:	It takes an airline to operate the tool. It means that a vacuum line may also be attached to reclaim dust particle so that they are not airborn. It also means that the 6inch pad has small holes to allow those particles to pass through to the vacuum. You do not need a vacuum system to operate this tool, however select a different 6inch pad w/o holes. I have 10 of these and they are excellent for the price

Question:	What is the size of the threaded shaft
Answer:	You need to know the CFM (cubic foot per minute) rating on your compressor, and what the tool requires tank size and PSI are only a small part of the equation. For example your compressor may say 3 CFM @90PSI or 5 CFM @ 40PSI if the tool requires say 5 CFM at 70 PSI your compressor is to small. As a general rule the compressor should have about twice the rating as the tool requires so that the compressor cycles (turns on and off) and there for won't burn up, the tank size only matters for reserve capacity so if say said tool above needs 5 CFM at 70 PSI the tool could only run for a minute or so before the compressor has to cycle to build up pressure back to the 70 PSI. I sold tools for quite a few years and have used many of them. I saw this and was thinking it was a good price for a great brand but truthfully it is a China made cheapie that only has the name of quality. A good DA sander shouldn't take more then about 5-7 CFM at 40 PSI.
Question:	Can this be used in a wet dry application like autobody finishing
Answer:	no its a dual action air sander you need a large air compresser to run it at 90 psi its for auto body work mainly

Please contact AirCat to verify the thread size for the backing pad and if they have restrictions about using a 5" backing pad for warranty reasons. Answer:	If you want it quieter. Pull the trigger and adjust the pressure to 40psi when being used. That should do what you are wanting.
