Question:	Does this create slag when cutting fine metal or are the cuts clean? Say copper or silver, for example? For jewelry
Answer:	You need to watch your feed rates to prevent heating. I don't think you would get slag unless you were hogging the cuts. I have not used these on gold or silver but they worked great on copper as long as I controlled the feed rate to prevent overheating.

Answer:	These are not better but very good for what they are designed for which is lighter duty work. They work fine for most of the things you use a dremel tool cutoff disk for but they are not for heavy sheet metal.
Question:	Worth buying
Answer:	That's a tough question to answer. Sure, they are super handy for many jobs, my favorite is cutting a slot in a stripped screw head for easy removal with a flat head screwdriver, but I have had to throw away too many of them because the metal center loses grip with the cutting wheel, rendering it useless, and at close to $2 per wheel, that has me wondering. My newest find, 1 1/2" fiberglass reinforced cutoff wheels for the standard 1/8" mandrel. They are available in a generic brand from China for about ten cents apiece when you buy them by the hundred. They seem to do as well and hold up much better than the little thin cutoff wheels that break after about 20 seconds of cutting, those are truly useless.
Question:	the product description says these are one and a half inch wheels but the packaging displays the size as one and a quarter size which is correct
Answer:	The EZ456B cut-off wheels are 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The EZ426CU cut-off wheels are 1 1/4" in diameter. I hope this clears up any confusion.

Answer:	Yes, it installs just like any other insert. Bear in mind, you may not be able to tighten the accessory tips as tight with only hand tightening. Also, some users say they get a slight wobble effect. Some say they have to tighten with pliers which defeats the purpose of quick change. For others it works fine.

Worse yet, the link for this product promotes two "Attachments For The Dremel 4000-6/50" with links for buying them when both attachments are already included (something I only know for sure because mine arrived yesterday). It is a real shame that a company with the reputation of Dremel provides such vague and, in some cases, misleading information about their products on their website. I have registered this complaint with Dremel and hope they will respond.

Answer:	Yes Ralph, it has a sturdy carrying case and is molded inside to fit everything, so the accessories stay in their places when the unit is closed. It sits up by itself like a brief case for easy storage. The Dramel 3000 logo is embossed on the outside. Everything is functional after taking time to read the directions - a well-made unit!!! I wrap the cord in a little twine to keep it secure in the case. The instructions are clearly written, so take the time to become familiar with every phase of the unit. Enjoy!!

Answer:	Yes, it installs just like any other insert. Bear in mind, you may not be able to tighten the accessory tips as tight with only hand tightening. Also, some users say they get a slight wobble effect. Some say they have to tighten with pliers which defeats the purpose of quick change. For others it works fine.

It is a real shame that a company with the reputation of Dremel provides such vague and, in some cases, misleading information about their products on their website. Answer:	Granite has a hardness of 6-7 and the carbide steel point has a hardness of of 8.5 so thepoint should win out. It depends on how detailed a design you are trying to do since thetip will round some in use. There is the heavy duty #9929 point as an alternative.
Question:	Hello. this is going to sound like a really silly question. But how do i inset the tip of the engraver? what size screwdriver would i need
Answer:	Good luck. It is a tiny screw. It took me over an hour of trying to get the tip inserted and held in place by the screw before I discovered there was no possible way. A set screw would have worked well, but this engraver needs a redesign. Consider how much force is going to be applied to the tip, between the pressure needed to engrave your item, as well as the vibration produced by the machine and it makes no sense why such a tiny screw was used. Please read all the reviews before buying.

However, to get more desired effects in the rocks/stones you are engraving, you may want to consider this product in addition to use of our high speed rotary tool on the materials you are working with. Answer:	The Dremel Flex Shaft 225-01 fits models (according to the Flex Shaft package): 800, 8200, 8220, 275/100, 285/200, 395, 398, 300, 3000, 400, 4000, 4200. The Flex Shaft package says on the back, "This attachment is compatible with the 4200 when used with the 4200 Attachment Adapter found in your Dremel 4200 kit."

Answer:	I use the keyless chuck almost exclusively on all my Dremels. The flex shaft attachment needs no chuck. The 225-01 flex shaft is heavier built than the older models and seems to stay cooler and easier to "steady "when doing boring or precision carving. The Diamond Dust coated bits from Dremel and others work well on glass. Don't get too aggressive, keep the heavier pieces cool, and possibly lubricate the thinner glass while grinding or boring. running water keeps the micro dust down, saves cracking pieces, and adds to the safety of the operation. Wear your goggles and N-95 mask. The Flex Shaft will need a good rinsing, drying, and light oiling after working with glass. Try to avoid the spade-type glass cutting bits unless you have a lot of glass to waste, or a drill press with a precision Quill and really stable vise.

Answer:	Short answer, "No, it will not cut ceramic tile." Longer answer is that the tile surface is harder than the abrasive embedded in the disc. Thus the need for a diamond edge dusted cutting wheel as the diamond edge is harder than the tile surface.
Question:	Does this cut carbon fiber arrows
Answer:	I never cut carbon but I think it should, but I wonder if it might cause it to splinter. Dremel does have a thinner cut off wheel. Question:	Which disc is stronger, Dremel 426 or
Answer:	The 426 is 1 1/4" and the 456 1 1/2" wide. Both are constructed the same way and the thickness about the same (0.045). The arbor hole on the 456 is larger than the normal dremel screw diameter but the pack comes with an adapter. You will definitely get more cutting and grinding out of the 456 because of its larger diameter. Quarter inch makes a lot of difference. No difference in strongness.
